How do you remove stains from your AIO diapers?

[deleted account] ( 6 moms have responded )

We use an AIO diaper and the attached liner is stained from the use of desitin... I know you are not supposed to use this on diapers and now we use something organic... my bad!

Any advice would be great! I have tried washing them, sunning them, applying lemon juice and sunning them, baking soda in the rinse cycle. What now?

I'd go with the peroxide try too, but i think you are just going to be stuck with a stained diaper. Those rash creams have a way of staining that just doesn't come out. I use lanolin on my diaper rashes! it washes right out of the diapers in hot water! you could also always use a fleece liner when yo have rashes!

Hydrogen Peroxide!!!!!!!!!! Buy a gallon of that stuff cheap, let soak in the diaper pail, that should help some!

Try stripping them. I use a bit of dawn original scent dish soap(must be original scent, don't know why), a capful of bleach, and a normal diaper scoop of detergent. Wash on Hot! Do another wash with no detergent (to rinse out well). Then wash normal (cold and hot wash with extra rinse). Then I put them out in the sun.
My mom used butt paste with my bum genius they were stained and stunk, after a nice strip they are good as new.

Most likely desitin stains wont come out. If sunning does not work they prob wont come out.
You can try stain removers and then strip them but other than that i know of nothing else.
