The pail I used for my girls broke while in storage and I am in need of an inexpensive pail for the new baby. I'd like to buy two I use pocket style diapers and want to be able to store covers in one and inserts in the other as this will make washing easier for me in the long run. I'm sure it's not necessary to do it this way but it's what I want. so any suggestions would be great.

I use the Diaper Genie II and it works great for our family. I just take the bag out put it in the washer, let it soak and then put it on wash. We have one for disposable and cloth (I use disposable when out and about and cloth at home) and I love them. Keeps the smell in, never had a problem with it, and are easy to use.

I just use a 13 gallon plastic trash can with step lid that I bought from Walmart. Works great and all diaper pail liners fit well in it.

We use a bucket with a lid for the liners and an open bucket for the pocket diapers. I think our was a detergent bucket...though you can probably get a bucket at walmart....or you can use a trash can with a lid, those are pretty cheap too. :)

I use a pretty basket I got at my baby shower. Its small but I wash every 2-3 days and it holds all the diapers til wash day. Also try craigslist.com...people sell diamper champs all the time and those are good for cloth too.Or I guess you could use plastic bags...that what I did before i bought my pail liner...I hung it on the doorknob. Not really preferred nor does plastic and dirty CDs make a good smelling combo but hey...it worked.
