Do I need to have a liner in the diaper when I use lanolin on my baby for a rash?

I would use a fleece liner just in case. Flannel is ok but fleece will wick the moisture away from the baby's skin so the rash isn't as agitated. =)

You can also just cut up a fleece blanket (or material) to make your own (cheaper) liners. And don't wash the liners with your diapers it can transfer in the wash.

Jen has an awesome idea! i would either go with that or a fleece liner. I don't think it would be a big deal, but you never know. I too second lanolin! I love to use wool longies that are lanolized just so the lanolin gets on my baby's legs! :) My baby's have really dry skin and lanolin has been awesome for that!

I just use a cloth wipe, 'cause it's not super important that they are absorbent in case it doesn't wash out perfectly.
I love lanolin on my baby's skin! I know CD babies get LESS rash, but my girls sure do get rashes sometime (teething!!)

I've never used lanolin. I find that a bit of powdered cornstarch helps keep the diaper rash away

If you use it a lot probably. I rarely need to use it and don't line my diapers and have never had a problem. It washes right out.
