Unrefined coconut oil is really good - moisturizing, anti-bacterial, anti-viral. It is expensive but you only need a very small amount at once, so it will last a long time, and is stable at room temperature for seven years, so no worries it will go bad! If you use breast milk as some have suggested, make sure it isn't a yeast rash, first, as milk would only make that worse.

I thought you were not supposed to use Vasaline, Aquaphor, or petroleum jelly with cloth diapers because they cause them to repel fluids. Which would make them useless....

We would give our kids a quick bath after each soiled diaper when they got diaper rash. Doesn't have to be a full bath. Just clean the diaper area with soap and water. Let it air dry and we used aquaphor after, but that is pricey so Vaseline might work. Cleared it up within a day.

I agree with Stephanie about using breastmilk. It does help! For creams, Earth Mama Angel Baby Bottom Balm is good stuff for diaper rashes. Air drying is perfect too!

If your child doesn't have a problem with petroleum products, the absolute best diaper rash protectant ever is plain petroleum jelly. Good old Vaseline and the generic store brands are the exact same stuff. Don't get nursery jelly. You'll pay twice as much to add fragrance. My grandma used it for 9 kids, my mom for 7, and I used it for my oldest. (My youngest is allergic to petroleum products so I make an equivalent out of olive oil and beeswax for her.)

Use natural hemp oil. It works wonderful from diaper dash. Do you use cloth diapers or disposable diapers?

I tried coconut oil, it worked for my baby girl. It is kind of pricey, though. Good luck.
Are you nursing? Squirt some breast milk on the rash, it helps too.
