I started my daughter off using the all-in-one thirsties [which are terrible!] and the aio bumgenius 3.0 which we love! She is 2 1/2 months now and the extra smalls are extra small on her, we have decided to get the one size now though to save money. We want to get the bumgenius one size because we love the aio's so much and we want to get knicker nappies. Has anyone used either of those and if so what do you think about them?

I use the bumgenius 3.0 (pocket, not AIO), ever since my daughter came home. She's 3 mo now, and aside from some minor pilling where my husband wasn't careful about where he applied the velcro, they're like new.

We wash every other day, line dry the shells, dryer the inserts, and they're perfect! No stains, curling, anything.

The only problem we've had is if she REALLY soaks the diaper, and we don't notice right away, the tag will sometimes wick moisture out onto her clothes. But this has only happened 3 times... two of those were at night, so :P

Happy Heinys are made in the USA. They are made in my town actually. My husband just won't let me spend so much per diaper, which is why I only have 6. They are his favorite though, LOL!

I use BumGenius 3.0 one-size pockets and have been using my set continuously for 16 months. They are still perfect - they look brand new, still white as white and I haven't noticed any deterioration with the velcro or elastic at all. I bought most of mine new but have 3 used ones which do have curly velcro and seem less stretchy. I have never put the outer covers in the dryer and can only assume that my used ones had been in someone's dryer. I have heard of complaints from other people about the size of them, but our 20 month old girl is slightly below average height, average weight, and we are still on the middle popper so I expect they will last for us, then on to the next baby!

Well, I guess I should note that I am looking looking at getting new one size diapers but they must be made in the USA. I really wanted to get the FuzziBunz diapers but they are made in China..

I'm using baby beehinds one size fits most bamboo and the hemp and I really like them I like them better than the all in ones. I also used nudey rudey and they're fine too I'm just not that keen on pocket nappies I find BB's easier to use. Both have snaps not Velcro.

I like my Happy Heinys OS pocket diapers. I also like the Katydid OS (though I've only used the one I have a couple times so far). And I just got a whole stash of various Kawaiis. They are working well. Good luck. One thing to note, Pocket OS are faster to dry than AIOs.

I love my Fuzzibunz OS. I've only had it for a month, but I can customize to my baby's needs. She has chuncky thighs, I can adjust them to fit her perfectly. Down side is that it take awhile to adjust. I was thinking about getting the BGs before I got the FB, but I seen my cousin's dipes and the velcro is worn out and the elastic is shot. That's what made me decide the FB.

I have a couple of the BG OS and they're the last diaper I reach for. I've only had them a month or so and the velcro is already looking worn and my daughter's tummy sometimes has red marks from the velcro (some of her rolls sometimes hang over :). I really like the Fuzzi Bunz (but I've only tried the perfect size, not the one size). If the BG had snaps I think they would be much better- so the BG organics (that have snaps) are probably a good bet. You could try buying one or two lightly used (diaperswappers.com) and see what you like. That's what I did.

I've never used knicker nappies but have heard they're really good for babies with chunky legs and are good for going up to 40 / 45 lbs (most one size diapers only go up to 35lbs).

Bum Genius are good if you're looking for a trim fit.

I use Bum Genius Organic AIOs One Size and I think they're great - good quality and never had a leak. I've heard of people having issues with the Bum Genius diapers with velcro stating that the velcro starts to wear out after a year. Mine have snaps on them and they are still in great condition after a year and I've never had a problem.

FYI - you can find a list of other recommended diapers on this site:
