My dd is 26 months. I've only been cd for about 4 months now. I decided to make my own pocket diapers. I finally found a fit that works really well on her, but inserts... I've tried microfiber towels. I have to use 3 folded in 3rds, which makes her diapers huge! recently I tried gdiaper disposible inserts, they work, but I really want to stick with as much cloth as possible. I made a 6 layer hemp/cotton, 2 layer zorb insert yesterday, and its not working well either. Please help!

If you have the covers you like I would just get Econobum inserts. They are great for heavy wetters and our haven't leaked at all. You can get them at cottonbabies.com

I've tried aio which are way too bulky. i also tried the flats and covers with no luck. fitted pockets and covers which wored with a the 3 microfiber towels, but they rubbed my dd chunky thighs too much. i ended up switching to disposibles for a week and she had a rash within a few days. i did just make a 6 layer hemp/cotton, 2 layer zorb insert which I use 1 mf towel with which works, but still a little bulkier then I want. I think I'm going to stick with that insert and add a fleece cover when we go out and shes in bed. worked good with just mf towels, so maybe will be great with this insert. thank you so much.

Sorry your having a hard time mama! IMHO pocket diaper don't work well for heavy wetters :(
We used pockets for dd and they worked awesome then we tried same pockets on heavy wetter ds and they leaked every time!! We ended up having to switch to flats and covers with mf or hemp inserts and extra inserts at night! I would try a different style, hopefully you can find something that works!
