My son is ready for Potty Training! For the last few days we have been naked at home using the potty (pee/poop) successfully without an accident.

However, I don't know what to do at nap/bed times. As well as leaving the house for walks and running a few errands. Do I just put him back in a FB? or do I need to get training pants, panties or just go commando?

Thanks a bunch!

overnight is a whole different ballgame and best to leave until you have daytime sorted out. even then it may be a year or two for some children to wake up when they feel the need. just call the bedtime dressing ritual putting on a "nighttime diaper" to help alleviate confusion.

PS nappies still for nap and bed time, but even then, they are quite dry.... Good Luck

My daughter was adamant she did not want to wear a nappy out, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and she has stayed dry ever since! I felt training pants or nappies to go out would confuse her and hold her back. I just keep reminding her to hold on to her wees and tell me if she needs to go, and she does.
You'll work out what works for you and your child, give him input and see what he decides, he may suprise you!

I'm almost at the end of potty training my 2 year old. I found that I was setting myself back by using my FB when going out for errands/naps. So now I just use training pants with a plastic cover. He definitely does not like to be wet which is something he never felt wearing the FB. Before going out, I make sure that he uses the potty before we leave the house and then again every 1 1/2-2 hours. I even took him shopping at the mall for 5 hours and no accidents!!! Just like CD, potty training is all trial and error and figuring out what works best for you and your little one. Good Luck!
