Stinky wet diapers at night

My 2 yo is a heavy wetter at night. I use either a hemp or bamboo fitted (Baby BeeHinds) with 3 layers of the same fabric insert as the diaper. (I hope that makes sense.) I put a wool soaker over this. Every morning, her diapers stink like I've never smelled. I know they are clean, no detergent residue (I just washed them with RLR last week). Is it just because there's so much pee? If not, please help me get rid of the stink! She can only wear her pajamas once or twice before I can't stand the smell anymore!

Try washing with Tide detergent - the regular kind. Its recommended by Happy Heiny's and Rumparooz. Also, check out baby's diet. Whenever my son (almost 2) drinks alot of juice in a day, he wreaks of ammonia in the morning. The smell cuts down significantly when he has more water than juice.

I had very heavy wetters and couldn't use cloth at night because i had to put so much absorbancy in and because it stank so bad from his pee....so we used pampers overnights. I know that doesn't help with the cloth, but I thought I'd share what we had to do. :) sorry I can't be more helpful.
