Talk to me about diapers

I recently quit my job and my son is now out of daycare so I can start using cloth diapers. I'm thinking about buying bumGenius 3.0 ... how do I know what brand or 'type' is best for me and my lifestyle or what will fit best on my son? From what I am reading, it seems certain diapers fit better on different body times (i.e. skinny legged baby's don't do pockets as well as prefolds) Can anyone give me some experienced advice?

It is really just a trial and error thing I think. I make my own so I never had to work about it. My dipaers fit a variety of body types. I actually sell them and I have never had anyone come back with bad feedback! you can see my diaper here and read up on cloth diapering and wool covers too. here http://www.niftynappybyvilate.weebly.com

I have a friend who uses mostly bumgenius and she loves them. She has been complaining about a frequent need to strip because the diapers have gotten a little stinky, but they are over 2 years old now.

I use Happy Heinys and AMP (Canadian company). My favourites are the AMPs.

Most diapering stores will offer packages that allow you to try a variety of different types of diapers. You might want to consider that. You can always sell the ones you don't like, the used cloth diaper market is hot. You won't have any trouble finding a buyer.

bumgenius 3.0 is awesome! i have never had a poop "explosion" that the bG 3.0 couldn't contain!
