ahhhh!!!! NO! don't use plastic pants. try wool instead! go buy a wool sweater from the thrift store. I can give you links to patterns you can make woolies out of from sweaters. Or I make and sell them here is my webpage with tons of wool info.

if you put plastic on your baby you increase their chances of get rashes because you are trapping all that wet and warmth right next to their bum! You need a good absorbent diaper and a wool cover. I personally like hemp and bamboo fabrics for their absorbency, but they are expensive. you can use mircofiber towels you can just buy at walmart, and then lay them and a piece of micro fleece of flannel over them -cause you don't want them to touch babies bum, they wick too much and will dry out babies bum. Use that inside what ever diaepr you are using and wool cover.

Let me know if you need any more help k?

The best place I know is www.tinytots.com. They are wonderful for cloth diapers. They even do a delivery service, which worked out great for us. They will bill you for your diapers. I highly recommend it if you are going the cloth diaper route.

Sabrina,
I feel your pain! I use (and used) Diaper wraps from www.diaperwraps.com for day and night use with the cotton diapers. The plastic pants of old are not made any more because so many moms went to wraps because they are easier. I also have had some success with "lite wraps" http://shop.nurturecenter.com/litwrapdia...

I also found a plastic cover for the mattress at Targethttp://www.target.com/Vinyl-Zippered-Whi... I love it because it doesn't make more laundry than is necessary.

Hope this helps!

Gerber makes plastic diaper covers to go over the cloth training underwear. They can be found at WalMart and Kmart. probably Target too. Usually in the same area as bibs and onsies. I found they fit well over my prefolds but they are a bit inconvebient since they need to be pulled up and down like pants. We used these while potty training for the most part.

I also use Bummies super whisper wraps wich work well but when I used them overnight, I would double the diaper.
