My 5 YO will occastionally wet the bed, totally normal for a 5 YO boy, I'm not stressed on it at all, he when thru a phase where he didn't want to wear pull ups at night anymore and he was good for about 4 months or so, and then went back to wetting the bed, so back to pull ups we went - ugh! My 22 mo. DD has been all cloth for about 5 months now and I love it, so now I'm looking for a cloth solution for my DS. He's only an occasional wetter, but when he does wet, it's a full on blow out!! (even after restricting his fluids AND making him use the potty before bed). He just turned 5 he's only 40 lbs (and at least 43-44" or so tall), I'd like a cloth trainer that will fit as much like underwear as possible. Mabey a pocket trainer so I can adjust the inserts? I've looked at the Imse Vimse which looks great, but I don't think it will contain a full on blow out. Anyone have a suggestion?

What did you ever decide? I just found your post. I could make up something for him. I can make a trainer out of hemp and bamboo kinda like the one I have on my etsy shop only bigger, and with more absorbent layers. I have lots of fun fabrics too. Then I would suggest having some wool longies or shorties that you send him to bed in. Make them his new pjs. With a fun new t-shirt. The wool will help with the waterproofness. I have lots of wool info on my webpage here http://www.niftynappybyvilate.weebly.com

oh, my etsy shop is http://www.vilatesniftynook.etsy.com

If you are interested in something just convo me on etsy and we can decide what you need! :)

the PottyScotty underwear with the plastic(ish) outside hold in the liquid well, but they take forever to dry after washing. He's old enough though to make him change his clothes, change his sheets and put the dirty sheets/clothes in the washing machine while you put the new sheets on his bed in the middle of the night. If he has to deal with the mess he makes, he might learn to wake up instead of lying there.
