I am active duty stationed in Long Beach. My husband is out of the CG, that is how we met. I have been in the CG for almost 8 yrs and married for 6 yrs in May. We have a 2 yr (well 2 next week) old son.
Seems like a lot of you are coastie spouses, that is awesome. It is really important to support your spouse because I don't know how many times I hear about marriages failing because the spouse does not understand.

Hi everyone - glad to see there is a place just for the Coasties - because I can't always relate to those military wives/moms who's husbands are gone for a year at a time. We are in Milwaukee, WI (yuck) and at a station - he is one for 2 days and off for 2 days, etc. But it's still hard sometimes. We move this summer, can't wait, perhaps to WA, OR, or ME. We just had our first baby girl in November - and it will be nice to relate to others in similar situations. Look forward to chatting!

Gaylin,
My hubby was stationed in Seattle for 4 years and I never went to Port Angeles..We are from Idaho (5 hrs from Seattle). My parents moved to Port Angeles for about 6 months and then moved to Montana..I had so many chances to go and never got to.. My hubby says it's pretty there..I've you visited Victoria yet? Just across the water from you.. Very beautiful there

Hi everyone! We're in Port Angeles, WA. I was on AD CG for 5 years, now I'm reserve, and hubby is still on AD. I'm a full time student and mom. I agree with Lesa about what is offered to us. We call Kodiak home, and can't wait to go back! :)

Wow! It takes a lot to just be a mom, but to be in the CG, be a wife to a coastie and a Mom...I applaud you!!

Hello Everyone,
I had joined the military spouses with children group but alot of those women were from the other services and I feel they sometimes have access to resources that we, Coasties moms, don't have unless we live near other military installations. A little about myself: I am a military brat, disabled veteran and a Coastie spouse (15 yrs.). We are stationed at ATC Mobile.

Great Idea Alisa! This was the 2nd subject I searched for! :-) I hope more Mom's find this as a great way to communicate with others in our similar situation. I look forward to talking to you more!
Thanks,
Emily
