Have you guys considered the fact that Congenital Hypothyroidism is GENETIC?
Well, I do think it is genetic because I was born with it and my paternal grandmother also has it and I do not believe in coincidences...If I were you...I would check family history...on your side and your husbands, or the father of your children. The grandparents might not have any thyroid problems but maybe someone in your family that you are not aware of has it. Maybe third cousins, great grandfathers, uncles, aunts....CHECK FAMILY HISTORY..because my grandma has it too! Even though I have never seen this run in families except for mine, maybe is because in my it's just form a close relative...but I will check family history and ask your parents/grandparents if they know anyone in the family with thyroid.
I hope my info helps you and please stay in touch...let me know what you think about it...
I don't mean to get all your hopes up to bring them down...all I want you all to do is to never lose it...never lose hope and keep trying...I got diagnosed with Congenital Hypothyroidism...I was a very unbelievable case because I was born with dead thyroid glands and if my parents wouldnt have tried like they did, I wouldnt probably be here right now because I have no thyroid glands since I was born
