I was wondering what other ‘single’ moms think about marriage. I have been divorced for over 14 years and I really don’t think I could settle down with just one man. In my experience, I have found that once a guy begins to get serious, they get extremely possessive!

I would have to find a partner that could accept my ‘open’ lifestyle, and I am afraid they are few and far between. I am just too much of a free spirit now.

I've been divorced for 14 years and marriage and though Im open to marriage if the right man came along, I cant say it's something I need in my life. I have dated a bit during the years, a few serious relationships, but I prefer monogamous relatiinships

I don't think I could live an 'open' lifestyle. I would need full on commitment. I don't necessary require the marriage contract to get that but I certainly wouldn't want to share my man with anyone else and I wouldn't be happy if he was comfortable sharing me with anyone else.

I would be open to marriage if the man I am with wanted it and it seemed the right path to take.

I do eventually want to find that long term monogamous commitment.

However, that said, in the meantime, I do intend to stay single for many-many years, and I am not looking at this time for any man. I don't need the complications of sex in my life.

Even 'open' relationships get complicated, unless you are someone completely unable to feel emotional attachment, someone always gets more emotionally involved.

Best of luck with your choice though Amanda. You have to do what is best for you in your life.
