I'm trying to save money and am considering getting highlights for my hair at Supercuts. Do any of you have experience with this? I'm concerned that they won't do as good of a job as my regular (more expensive and experienced) stylist. Do you think I should take the risk?

Hey Karli - I live in Austin and it is expensive here too. I was thinking Supercuts would be a risk, perhaps a 50% chance it would look ok. My solution? I went out to a neighboring town and got it done for half the price. Less than $100 rather than $200. So you could try that. Just be willing to travel to a neighboring town where the going rate is a little lower.

Sorry for the late response but I have been thinking the same thing, I live in Ontario, Canada and it costs about 200-225 to get my hair cut, coloured,blow dried and to get my face waxed...waaaayy too much. I've resigned myself to go cheaper and maybe try it at home..I figure if it's a disaster I can then go back to my usual guy to get it fixed.
