After becoming a mom 15 years ago, and after a life changing event, I have become involving art and craft for years. I still have great passion about it, I do all kind of art even though I am not formally trained. I just follow my heart to create.

Art is very therapeutic and I totally believe in this :)
My son, he just turned 5 in April, is an extremely good artist. He has been drawing since the age of 2...
My husband and I, we both are artists as well. As a need to preserve and appreciate his art we provide him with lots of art material and time.
We don't give him any directions, mostly he draws on his own from his imagination. Sometimes we do interact with him on some random ideas, like recently he drew a picture while listening to a song :)
It's been almost 2-3 years, that we were toying with the idea of creating an online studio for all children, where they can share their masterpieces.
I created a group or two on Flickr, ning and even Facebook...eventually, came up with this concept that we call the little sketchers!
We have had a very good response, since our launch, and we are happy to see children getting excited about all this. Art reveals a lot about what is going on in that tiny mind!
Little Sketchers is our 'little' effort to enable parents to cherish the creative endeavors of their children!

I'm a child and youth worker, and part of my job is to use the arts as a means of expression for the troubled kids I work with. Painting is my favourite, especially finger painting. It just really allows you to be free.

Hi Peichi!
I agree, creating art and crafts is very thearapeutic. I think it also cleanses your mind and your soul. Although I've received formal training in art I don't think that's what makes a person an artist. It is a deep passion and I find that when I set aside what I've learned and be spontainious, you can end up with something unique and beautiful.
