Fall ideas?

[deleted account] ( 6 moms have responded )

Anyone have some great ideas for fall crafts that aren't too expensive to make?? Or yummy fall-type recipes?? Fall is my favorite season, and this is the first year I've been a stay at home mom so I'd love to try some new and different things! Goodies or stuff for decorating, anything! Just to be clear though, my son is only 11 months old so I'm really looking for things I can work on while he's napping, not kiddie crafts.

Fall is also my favorite season although down in Florida it is nothing like back in Michigan where I was born and raised. For a recipe I LOVE to make pumpkin rolls...if you want the recipe let me know and I'll message you with it...Yum!

i'm Shannnon and I like to pain and to cross stitch, but I was thinking it you and any of those plants taht are like vines they row up the side of your house, they are good to use for halloween/thankgiving signs for your door you kind of weave it in and oval shape and had fall colors and and use halloween stuff like webbing or wool or for thanks giving stuff use sting and make a welcome sign put it inside and tie it to the sticks. or for a recipe just use a sugar cookie recipe and cut them in the shape of leaves and go around the edges of the cookies with different fall color icings

i use to collect plastic anything in colors i liked and cut out leaf shapes. also used contruction paper and used crayons to blend colors and cover with white glue to give a lite shine. these can be strung together or just place them anywhere. i've also made the paper chain in colors of the season

What I like to do is get a bunch of Autumn colored construction paper and trace out different shapes of leaves and hang them from the ceiling. It is a neat way to decorate for the season that you can also recycle for the seasons to come. If you choose not to have them hung you can also make a Garland with them with some yarn to embellish your windows and railings.

Also, Michael's also usually sells little plastic pumpkins that you can use as "prop" decorations that shouldn't be overly expensive, and again you can use again year to year.

For baking purposes, always find pumpkins cupcakes recipes on "allrecipes.com" and have them frosted with a yummy cream cheese icing with orange and black sprinkles to top it off.

Also, for a Halloween dessert you can make chocolate pudding, portion it out into separate dessert cups, sprinkle the top with crushed oreo (for dirt effect) and then slip in a little gummy worm. It is a Halloween tradition for my family to make. Affordable, and fun.

Autumn is by far the best season of the year! I am already pulling out my Halloween decorations to start decorating!

I hope this helps!
