I would love to have a huge warehouse/loft in a big city and have free art lessons for kids, and have my other friends that are creative help me with other types of lessons, Stephanie could teach dance, Greta could also teach painting, Ashley could teach acting, Liz could teach pottery, Rebecca could teach murals. Jim James and Justin could teach music.

I would love to have a big ole renovated barn or farmhouse out in the prairie countryside where I live. I'd sell cross stitch, crochet and knitting supplies, and have a huge area with home baked goodies, and a constant supply of tea & cofee, with tons of room for people to come hang out and stitch the day away!! There would be classes too for everyone from 5 to 105, and weekend retreats too. I'd also love to be paid to cross stitch for people if they had something they wanted stitched, but have neither the time or patience to do it themselves...I'm a bit addicted to stitching, but it's like therapy for me lol!! who's coming over for cake?

I am trying to get to that dream right now! Im a natural history writer and photographer and have just started to publish my own magazine.
Id love to have my own big studio to work from with lots of space for books and docos and creativeness! The future plan is to work this up and then move into creating documentaries too. Not sure how this will go with a baby and a hubbie who also runs his own business but we shall see! Gotta dream big right? :-)

I create printables and kids crafts for my kids and put them on my website. http://www.dimensions-designs.com It's still in its new stage but check it out to get stuff for the kids to do during the summer! I also do illustration and graphic design for clients all over the world. I work at home so that I can be near my two preschoolers and have a flexible schedule!

Basically, I'm doing what I want to do right now.  I just need to make more money doing it.  I'm a professional face and body artist.  I paint faces for birthday parties, company picnics, family reunions, etc.  I'm trying to add glitter tattoos, henna tattoos and balloon twisting.  I mostly work on weekends and spend the rest of my time with my kids.  I just wish my girls would let me experiment on them more and that my son wanted something other than Spiderman.  LOL!  It's been a slow process over the past 2 1/2 years but my business is growing a little more every year.  I totally enjoy what I do.  The smiles on the kids faces make it the best job ever!

Honestly, I would open a teen club. We'd have basketball courts, a lounge area with video game systems and big screen TVs, a restaurant, and a "Karaoke/Dance Lounge". We'd have dances once a month, basketball games, Karaoke contests, video game tournaments, and "date nite". I'd give cooking classes, make up application instructions, and host childcare and CPR classes with guest instructors. We'd have special classes in the summer and over breaks.

I would have my own Bed and Day Spa. I would run it out of my dream home where there's acreage, animals, a barn, and an amazing home with an incredible kitchen and inner courtyard with outdoor fireplace. The Barn would host live bands and there is a loft for an art studio for me, and a recording studio for my husband. I would offer different body treatments, and spa treatments, and we would also host after school programs for kids, with tutoring, homework help, cooking and art classes, working with animals and gardening.

Whitney, get out of my head! ;o)

We have very similar dreams: I would have a giant space or loft in the hub a quiant New England town , that offered all types of different artistic mediums and crafts. One room would be dedicated to computers, printers and scanners, another room for scrap booking, another an art studio, another for pottery, then in the heart of the space, I'd have a cozy but cool coffeehouse with a giant fireplace in the middle with tons of comfy couches or chairs scattered about to lounge around in.  I'd even have an area for hourly childcare...

What a dream! :o)  Hopefully, someday we will all get to do what we dream...

Wow!  I want to visit that dream.  That sounds great!  I would be fun to come in from photographing and see what everyone else was working on before heading to the digital darkroom (computer) to finish up my photographs.  How fun to be able to share coffee and chat with other artists.  It would be like "The Brewery" in LA, CA.  I went there for a couple shows and just loved how they all got to live/work in a community.

Quoting Mitchie:

I would open my own teahouse called Austen (for Jane Austen and the Regency Period) and sell biscuits, cakes, cookies, tea (iced or hot, red, black or herbal...) I would only do breakfast till tea time, so that I can be home by dinner time and spend the rest of the day with my family. =) Seriously, if I win the lottery, I will be doing this! =D (But first, I will have to find a location and build a Georgian style house first!)

I would so love to go to your teahouse.  It would be SO nice.  I think you would have a lot of customers.

Anything. I would take photos (fine art) like I did in college and people would buy them. I could live anywhere in the country (as in not in town) because I could send them out in the mail.

it would be writing and drawing. i'm good at both, but have never tried it out in a career. i have 2 children, a spouse, and the chances of making it anywhere big are slim.

I would have a huge office with one whole wall with a bulletin board for a writing studio.  A couple awesome computers, filing cabinets, a big desk, inspiring photos everywhere and a good lock on the door to keep everyone else out.  It would be my place of Zen.

OMG! I had visions as a teenager of living in the flashdance loft, or the loft in desperately seeking susan. Crazy, huh. I'd be a large canvas artist and do intricate creations on the side.

I would be doing Samantha Brown's job on the travel channel. That lady gets to travel everywhere. I'm a world travel fanatic and would love to get paid for it!! Alas, kids do have a grounding effect on you. But more realistlically, an attainable goal for me is to eventually be selling my jewelry and body care products at different fairs and festivals. The nomadic non-traditional lifestyle is right up my alley. The Renaissance Faire is my Mecca. Is it wrong for me to want to hash my wares whilst dressed as a buxom pirate??

ANYTHING, huh?! Well, unrealistic dream, I would go to Broadway and be an actress!!!!!!

On a more realistic level - I would like to open up my own photography studio someday!! Something in a cool old timey small town downtown area.
