Thank you Beth, with CF its so much different. My Cfer has only gotten me used to having to react to Pneumonia, i have no clue anymore how to deal with normal kids viruses. I appreciate your help, his fever did finally stop after 8 days. He is better today than he has been for over a week. Back to his crazy self, again thank you for your help!!!

As long as you keep him hydrated, comfortable and try to get him to eat a little, he should be ok. Watch for signs of respiratory distress (is he breathing more than 30 times a minute while sleeping?), keep pumping him with alternating Tylenol and Motrin every 4-6 hours, and just make sure he's relaxed. If his fever is higher than 102 - and can't be drawn down with medicine or he has obvious signs that he can't breathe, then take him back to the doctor. Unfortunately viruses have to run their course, but if you suspect he has the flu, then push to get Tamiflu - with CF kids you can't be too careful. It'll be ok, just love on him, feed him popcycles and read lots and lots of books to him.
