How often do you get to have a "date night"?

we have date night during the day. we go out for a few hours every other Wednesday because he works graveyard every wed and thurs night. so when he gets paid my mom watches the baby and we go out and do our shopping for whatever the baby needs first an then go out to eat and MAYBE if theres enough time a movie. if we had the money we would go out once a week but we dont but we are ok with the time we get together

this may sound a lil mean, but im really not lost then my lil girl isnt around, and i dont knowif its bc i know that she is in good care or im just happy to be out. i hope this dont make me sound like a bad mommy

hi me and my boyfriend try to get one every month, and that mean are lil girl stays the night with one of are close friends or with my aunt, my mom, his mom, or my dad. we do get time alone on the weekends, but its nice to have a whole night by are self. we got out to eat then after go bowling or meet some friends at the bar to play pool.

OMG, I don't remember the last time we had a "date night". I know I was maybe 3 or 4 months prego and now our son is 3 months old.

I can't remember the last time i got a date night my youngest is almost 6 mnths & we have had 1 night with out eiither of our boys in 6 mnths I have to get up when my man gets home to be able to have a conversation during the week

We've tried to have date nights at least once or twice a month lately but usually we're both so tired that we just end up hanging around the house. Or if we do go out it's just for dinner.

Luckily, we have good friends who LOVE to watch our daughter. They call and ask to watch her all the time. So once every three months we try to go to a concert. and every other weekend we go out to a movie/dinner, or to a jazz club to dance. We stay in and cook sometimes or play video games! Even though we aren't really together anymore, we still try to find time to hang together, so we can maintain a friendship, and make raising our child an easy task to do together.

While he is at work, I try to put her to sleep before he gets in, so she isn't hollering while he is trying to unwind, and we can talk about how our days went etc.

I am unfamiliar with this date night thing could someone provide a detailed description so I can better understand.LOL!



We rarely get a date night. Usually we get them on anniversaries or birthdays and those just end up with us eating out or seeing a movie and then going home to tuck the kids into bed. We just really don't know what to do without the kids around and because I am so used to being without by hubby around too much I feel like I am constantly in my mommy mode and don't know how to get out of it when my hubby is around so I can be in my wife mode.

at least one morning a month we go out for breakfast and like all couples we seem to be lost without the kids. we are so used to our lives revolving around the kids that we dont know how to handle just being a couple.

date night..whats that? lol we occasionally get to go out but we are pretty lame also..it's always going out to dinner and then walmart or meijer....sometimes we manage to go for a ride on his motorcycle but doesn't happen very often! so don't feel bad your not the only one who does this!! i think we are just so use to multi-tasking with the kids every waking hour we really just don't know what to do with ourselves when we get to realx!!

We only get "non-mummy/daddy time" about once or twice a month. But, even then his younger brother usually turns up and spoils any plans we had for the evening. When we DO get to be alone we can hardly ever think of what to do, we usually end up going to McDonalds, KFC, Burger King or a pub and then usually end up walking around a huge Supermarket in town. And conversation usually ends up revolving around our daughter.

Omg! That's exactly what we do! We only get to go out about two times a month and we go out to eat or see a movie then head to wal-mart. I guess wal-mart is just the place to be lol. Don't feel lame about it I'm sure we're not the only ones and atleast when our little ones get bigger we can have more date nights!
