Hello,
I have had my dayhome opened for 8 months now. I worked at a daycare for 2 1/2 years before I had my daughter as well.
Recently I had a 14 month old girl start at my dayhome, and Im just about ready to call it quits with her. She literally cries all day, and I keep telling her mom this, and its just like she shrugs it off. WHen she first started, she was 12 months, and her mom was still breast feeding her, which I dont mind, to each their own right! But she kept coming durning the day, and nursing her. This would make the baby cry more. So I kindly asked her to pump instead. She came up with this BS excuse why she couldnt, and said that the baby would be fine without milk...ALL DAY! After a week of this, I told her she had to bring her something, so she decided to bring Almond milk.
She will also keep her at home for like 5 day stretches and then bring her back for 2 or 3 then its the same thing over again. This poor little girl isnt having a chance to get used to me, so she is crying all the time, and ,my other dayhome kids dont want to be around her because of it. So do I call it quits, or put up with her mother and her excuses?

I just replied to your same post on the "Stay at Home Moms" community! :) Good luck!

PS. I was the one that suggested terminating care.
