The 'over the shoulder' picture that everyone is talking about, I thought that was her knee! It could be shoulder, but it also looks likely could be her leg she's leaning onto. Idk, that's what I thought it was when I saw it.

I only saw the photos from the first and last link, couldn't open the second one. She's a pretty thing, looks like Shiloh Jolie-Pitt in a couple of shots. I wouldn't exploit my daughter that way...and ANY parent that makes money off their minor child is exploiting them, in a way...but I don't see any shot that could be called inappropriate or overly sexy. The over the shoulder one--she could have a little cami on for all we know. And even if she was topless...she's 10, there's nothing much to look at, and you gotta remember it is FRANCE after all. Topless isn't a big deal there. I have a bigger problem with the makeup and high heels than I do anything else, truth be told.

@ Angela. I guess some of us just are able to turn their minds off to things.(ug I'm upset w/ my hubby so this may come out wrong) I know she's 10 and thus a child so I just think her mom went a bit over the top with dressing her up. The ones where she's wearing heels and a shedload of make up are definitely pushing it, but then I look at her feet and see how big her shoes are.
I have to desexualize a lot of people when I work because I'm a care aide. I have to wash and dress both men and women so I've learned how to condition my brain.

It is funny how the over the shoulder shot is preconceived as sexy and the ones were she is all made up in high heels laying on a couch etc is not seen as sexy by some.

It think it has to do with our own perception of what one finds sexual.

For me to dress a child like an adult is too much and too sexy. I see adult not child. I see adults as sexual beings so thus is why. I really do not see the child naked just with the shoulder showing. But I also do not see the issue of topless little girls after living in Europe, That is as long as she is a flat top :)

If she were my daughter it would not be one for public use.It looks like she is naked.It does not matter if she was wearing a top etc.

This is the main image being sent out.It would not sit well with me, if she were my kid to have that image out there for public viewing.Personally speaking.

She is a very pretty little girl and most of the photos in the first link (the 2nd one didn't want to work for some reason) were tasteful for the most part. But the heels look a tad guache on her small feet n'cest pas? Yeah I had to throw my scant French in this post somehow. I really don't see any issues with her being too sexy. The make up is a bit too much IMO, but there's nothing overly scandelous

This just makes me think of my older daughter who's only 3 years younger than this girl. She's already worrying about being pretty and having a boy like her. I'm like you're 7! Go climb a tree and get some stitches dammit! But no, she wants to wear a dress and my perfume! WTF

I have to add it makes me wonder if we're somehow subconciously objectifying our daughters. Because I don't remember worrying about boys when I was started grade 2

The woman that pointed out that in Europe its common and accepted to be topless, i have to agree i used to live in europe and if i saw that pic over there than i would see it as normal. So i change my comment i loved all the pictures even the ones with make up and heels they were all beautiful and definitely no where near sexy or offensive :)

If she were my daughter I bet I'd be taking pictures of her all the time, she is simply gorgeous! But I'd still want her to live a normal child's life, buy yeah I might submit photos to agencies. :) she's really stunning.

yes I agree with you Lisa, if a kid can be a kid and they wan to do it it is okay. But it is strange to see a child with a job, I wonder how they work with a child, expectations and all... When you see the history of many child actors it does not sound so normal, models are almost always young so it is hard saying. The whole pageant thing freaks me out.

I didn't like the last two because of the make up and heels. I agree she is a gorgeous girl.

I'm not sure what sort of lifestyle a modeling career entails though. If she enjoys it and is given ample time to just be a kid I don't have a problem. But if her lifestyle is similar to those of pageant children with mom overlording it projecting her own past wishes/regrets/goals on her kid...no.

The photos most I saw no problem, I want to add that most little girls don't wear tops in Europe while bathing, and many adults go topless at the beach it is just a normal thing here in Europe. In fact they sell many swim suits with out tops here. If I saw the same photo you all are talking about, I did not see a problem.

I don't like photos that make her look older, IE the high heels and stuff but she is pretty but the make up etc just is a bit much for my taste! I would not let my daughter do it unless she had little make up IE just for photo to look good but natural and have her doing things her age no sexy stuff for a 10 year old. I think some of her photos she looks sexy and like a young adult and I find it disturbing. I saw her sexy is some shots and felt like a pedophile,(no I am not a lesbian) but I mean she was selling sexy for sure and I forgot she was 10 years old.

I remember the whole Brooke Sheilds thingy I was a kid myself and I wanted to be her! She had an ad at 14 that had her being very sexy in her Calvins. I think it is in poor taste but they have been doing it for years. But it does not mean it is right!

Where do we draw the line? I think when they stop looking like children! She had many shots that were nice and showed a young 10 year old girl having fun etc. Why the sexy grown up look???

I think the over the shoulder shot is a little on the seductive side and the high heels just look strange on a child.



I also think she is a beautiful little girl and i was kind of mesmerised by how stunning she is.

She has a lot of talent for a 10 yr old.

Honestly, 13 year olds have been posing on runways and in mags for years. She is a beautiful girl and I see no real dif between her and say Brooke Sheilds all those years ago. Of course, Pretty Baby was way more racy...compared to these photos, that was OTT (as someone else said).

I'm just thinking man...she's doing this already? I just can't imagine having my kid modeling at that level so young because that can't be an easy world for a 10 year old to navigate. She's really beautiful though.

I think she's cute in a quirky way that seems to work for grown up models, so I do think she has a bright future in the modeling industry.

The only pictures I take exception to are the ones with her in point shoes. At 10 years old, her bones aren't developed enough to handle the stress of pointe on her body (starting pointe too early can actually screw up your feet and ankles for life because it can distort the bones while they are still developing - yes, my ballet roots are showing... blame my mom! lol).

I agree with Julianne. I think the majority of the pictures are just fine. I don't think any of them were over-the-top sexy. If she were my child, I would make it clear to whoever wants to work with her that if Mom ultimately decides what is acceptable. That's all. I wouldn't forbid her from getting an early start on a good career, but I would certainly set some boundaries.

wow! Beautiful girl, i could only open the first link and found most of the pics fine. The last two( in bed with the bunnies and the tiger) , I found to be pushing the limit. they were obviously attempts to make her look older, the postioning of her in bed, the makeup, heels and adult clothing do seem to be trying to sexualize her. The other pics I find just stunning though,she is a beautiful child. i hope she has a good family life, parents who respect that she is a child. Would hate for her to wind up like so many child actor/models/entertainers, exploited by parents and the industry.

I have no problem with almost all the photos she is a beautiful girl and for the most part seems to be dressed as such. I have a couple of issues with 3 of the photos and I think they are the same ones as Ashley. The rest I think are very tasteful.

Stunning child.I loved most.If she were my daughter there are 4 pictures i would not allow to be published.The one with the black tiny shorts, gold/red dress one and the one close face shot with bare shoulder.Other than them, i think she is beautiful and will do well in her future.

Sexy i don't think so personally but i see how others may think that with some of the pictures.

To me i just feel there over the top for a young child..make-up/fashion wise.

The portrait/face shorts are gorgeous, she is beautiful. But the Vouge ones...yeah i think it's too much for a 10 year old. They are trying to make her look like a 20 year old model. All that makeup and sexy heels doesn't seem right to me. It doesn't inspire me want to buy those clothes or jewelery which is a model's job really. Obviously they are using her to create a bit of media attention for their magazine.

Im not sure if I can say she is being exploited , really that depends on her and what she wants and whether her parents are pushing their interest or nurturing hers as for her topless shot ......I dont know , again she is a child , she has the same chest as the boy in the photo next to it .

I think she is beautiful , the photos are beautiful the only objection I can make based on what I have seen is the vogue shots took her beauty away by slathering her in make up.

I think she's an absolutely stunning little girl. But she is just that... a little girl. She can be a supermodel when she's grown up.



Her parents need a roundkick to the head - on the second page of the second link, there is a photo of her without a top on. FFS. I don't think it's a stretch to say she is being exploited by everyone involved :(
