Anyone see "Eclipse" yet?

I did today...thought it was not as good as "New Moon". It's not so much how they changed the story from the book as it is the way it was directed...felt very choppy and every scene with Bella and Edward was like an extreme close-up, plus there was that shaky camera-work and I don't know, it just didn't flow. I was disappointed. Plus, all I could do was stare at how horrible Bella's wig was. You'd think with the budget they could have done a little better.

i thought new moon sucked...all bella did was sit there for most of it. blah. that's boring. Eclipse was ok...just ok. I think they got greedy when this all turned into a franchise. Twilight the original was pretty close to the book and very enjoyable. once that enjoyment started turning a huge profit....the whole thing went from gourmet cooking to fast food!

I've seen it now. Definitely better than New Moon. Less wallowing in self pity and more action. I agree with you Sara that the flow was a little out. It did seem to jump around and cut to new scenes quickly. The general story is just a lot better!

I hated New Moon. Haven't seen Eclipse but New Moon was definitely not as good as the first one. There is less storyline and more Bella and Edward I LOVE YOUS.

i hated it, worst one of all 3 definitely. although i couldn't tell that she was wearing a wig. i was too busy listening to my best friend making fun of everybody, and i think the crowd ruined it for me in all honesty. they laughed at stupid parts, which in turn would make heather make fun of them and cackle like a witch (she's a complete bitch sometimes, but i love her, lol).

i hated all the cheesy one liners jacob had, it was really commercialized.

good thing i didn't pay to go see it, oh the perks of having friends that manage the theatre!!

I thought it was better than New Moon personally. Like every book turned movie, I thought the book was better and the movie rushed through things. I really didn't like how during the highly anticipated fight scenes the camera was zoomed so close to the vampires that you couldn't really tell what was going on. Never noticed that Bella had a wig on haha...I'll have to check that out when it comes out on DVD.

Haha Toni! That's funny coz I was thinking that it was the first movie he wasn't attractive in! Thought Jacob was better this time around ;)

I went last night and I loved it - I think it was by far the best movie in the twilight series - But then it is my favourite book as well. I thought it was the first time that the love story trangressed onto the screen. The films will NEVER be as good as the books though :-) Team Edward all the way and to my delight R Patz actually looked better in this movie - almost hot gqtm.

I wasn't too keen on New Moon. Looks like Eclipse has a bit more action. I'm about a quarter of the way through the book so I'll wait for the hype to die down and watch it on DVD.

After reading the books. Twilight - Team Edward (but he had no competition). New Moon - Team Jacob. Eclipse - so far Team Jacob (possessive men or vampires don't do it for me!).

I have to admit that after Sharon's other post about the first two, "Team Jacob vs. Team Edward" I had to see what all the hype was about so I went out and rented both Twilight and New Moon and Chad and I are planning a date night to go see Eclipse.

I have to admit, after seeing the first two, I don't get what all the hype is about? I can understand the teenagers but I know some adults that are OBSESSED....my cousin being one of them.....she's already seen Eclipse 3X....gah! I did however, think the first two were alright so I'm looking forward to seeing Eclipse. Definitely not my favorite portrayal of vampires!

I liked it! I thought it was better than the book because they cut out all the stuff that I cringed at in the book. And I had no idea Bella was wearing a wig!! I am so not keen on Breaking Dawn though. I agree with Sara. The first 2.5 were ok but after that it shot downhill really fast.

I did not enjoy it. My hubby and I went to the drive-in to see it on Sunday and was not impressed. I think New Moon was the best out of all of them.

I enjoyed it. I've never seen a movie that is better than the book, and this was no exception. But I still enjoyed it.

She was wearing a wig because she had cut her hair for the movie "The Runaways". I actually really enjoyed Eclipse. The whole thing is, a book has so much more detail, so much more thoughts, feelings, that a movie can never truly live up to it. I go to movies to be taken to another world, to become totally absorbed. If that happens, I enjoy myself. Loved Eclipse, New Moon and yes, even Twilight, and I cannot wait to see how they film Breaking Dawn!!!

Why was Bella wearing a wig?

Probably because she had to cut her hair short another movie she did recently about Joan jett.

Nope havent seen eclipse yet .

Why was Bella wearing a wig?

I admit I didn't care for either of the 1st 2 movies at all and am probably not gonig to pay full price for Eclipse. I thought the first 2 had bad writing, bad acting, and overall was not impressed. But I loved the books. Eclipse is my favorite book in the series, but I am leary about the movie. Yeah...books are always better.

The night it came out in theaters all my friends were posting how they were "going to watch eclipse" on their facebook statuses. I didn't realize it was the name of a twilight movie and started googling what time the eclipse was going to be...I was highly disappointed to find out there was none.

I think we're going to try to see it Friday afternoon. Hopefully there won't be so many fanatics at the theater then. Eclipse was the book where Stephanie Meyer lost me anyway. I liked the series until about the middle of that book. I'll let you know what I think after I see it.

Sigh...yes...my cousin brought me along to the midnight showing last night.

I was tickled pink when I arrived back to the theater from my trip to the bathroom by a round of cheers and clapping- "thank you! Thank you! I DID make it to the bathroom and back in time!"

Oh wait...you're all just applauding the beginning of the previews to...da da daaaaa- ECLIPSE!

I was also amused by the sheer number of Twilight fan t-shirts and the cheers when Jacob appeared without his shirt.

Ok. In all seriousnes, I agree with you- there were definitely too many facial close ups switching back and forth. I liked Twilight, the music, the artistry of the filming. Eclipse was pretty boring for me.

Think I'll just stick with books. Movies never live up to them.
