Oh and to Jessica I have taken my son to a movie when he was an infant he slept through the whole movie and I took him to his first movie he could watch when he was almost three he sat through the entire movie. So not sure how that is irresponsible??

I brought my 4 yr old with me but not at midnight early the next morning. I didn't have a choice my husband had to work so it was either not go which wasn't an option either or my kids wouldn't have a Christmas or bring him with me I brought him with me. Sometimes parents have no other option look at the big picture and not just assume they are being irresponsible.

Absoulutely not! I would never bring my child to black friday nor would I ever shop on black friday(at least not in the near future),I need my beauty sleep, LOL. I let my hubby handle all that nonsense. I mean really!? Your fighting over a T.V. It's funny to know how people REALLY are when this day comes up.

I would never bring my kid. And if you go, I think its common knowledge you may get hurt. If my child was older- high school- maybe. But wouldnt you probably be shopping for your kids anyway? why would you want them there? lol

Either way, the call from the one guy does sound fishy...

Heck yeah, I take my son to Black Friday. He's two, he can get to places I can't fast enough and who would pull a toy out of a two yr olds hands, I mean he's freakin' cute!

My mom and aunts took me one year when I was maybe 11, and we didn't go until about 8 am. It was an educational trip - it taught me to never leave the house on black Friday, lol.

Heck NO i wouldn't take my kids! I went this year and people had newborn babies standing outside inline while it was cold and raining!! And some kids had no socks shoes or jackets nothing how stupid can you be! i mean when my kids get to be teenagers then yea ill probably take em but not when there little! And plus this year at the local mall near me a naked guy ran through the mall LMAO what kid should see that

My husband likes black friday shopping and since I had to work he left our son with his grandma for a couple hours. Its too dangerous to take chldren to black friday. People get too crazy!

Wait, did he say how old his daughter was? Was she a little girl (5, 6, 7, 8....) or a teen (16, 17...)? Because that makes a HUGE difference.... If she was a small child... WTH?!?!? Are they stupid? Not only can a Black Friday sale be unsafe due to the sheer animalistic quality it seems to bring out in people, but most of these sales are at extremely inappropriate hours for a young child to be out and about. (and this is coming from someone who has taken her son, at 6 or 7 months old, grocery shopping. At 10 pm.) However, if she wasn't a young child, which you didn't state, so I'm not sure if you didn't know, or knew and forgot to mention, that would make it totally different. As a 16(or even 14 or 15)-year old, my parents would have handled a situation like this for me, with me sitting next to them. Try to teach me how to "get things done." Even if I attended the sale without them. Maybe they already talked to the store manager & he/she didn't do a damn thing about it. Then call another store, ask for a district manager or another higher up. If she attended with friends, hell, not all kids know "proper" procedure. Maybe she didn't even tell him, especially if it was one of the normal 3 or 4 am sales and she might have snuck out cause her friends were going (Puberty turns 'em into assholes. To this day, I STILL apologize to my mother for being a sooooo awful).... Too many "what if's".....

Young child. Absolutely wrong. Teen. Probably not wrong... maybe. Depends.

No! For one, my kids would NOT be okay with standing in line for hours on end, especially not in the middle of the night. For two, from what I've heard of Black Friday sales, they're insane! Although, with my monsterous double stroller, I doubt anyone would run over us. We'd be the ones running over people! :)

Good God, why on earth would someone want to subject their kids to one of the busiest and most violent shopping holidays of the year??? Why would they want to do it to themselves? Ugh!

Black Friday is crazy!! I can't understand why someone would want to bring their kids to a store on a day where there's an extreme possibility that someone could get badly injured.

OMG no! I went to Black Friday but my daughter was at home in bed with a babysitter! my nephew who is 19 years old to be exact! Who would be so stupid and irresponsible to bring their child to Black Friday. The only way I would take my kid is if she was a teenager and even then she would have to be at least 16 or 17 years old before I would do it!

Hmmm I've been to loads of weekender outdoor psytrance festivals where whole families have come and camped out , the kids have loads of fun , are taken care of and most often have their own kids area with painting , games , and movies on an outdoor screen in the evening most of them just love to dance with their mums and dads to the electronic beats though , I haven't taken my kids but I will when they are a bit older , It's a great community of people .

I agree that's irresponsible. Like taking a baby or young toddler to a movie theater- its just an inappropriate place for a kid. Not only the safety aspect of it, because even adults can't handle themselves over tvs and socks- but its kind of cruel to get your kid up at 3 am to drag them to a store, don't you think?

Kids go missing in stores when there are no big sales. I don't see why parents would want to risk it. Then there is those who get run down or trampled on like this man claims.

I agree that it's very irresponsible. They could get trampled, or more likely, they could get very easily separated from you in the hordes of people.

Not worth it. Leave them with your spouse, or allot some of the money you saved shopping towards paying for a sitter for a few hours.

chances are i am shopping for them, why would i bring them, i would probably be in jail if i had to stand in line at 4 and then have someone run over my child and I. It was dangerous. I didn't even look at any black friday sales. As far as i knew i had to work, when that didn't happen we didn't get out til around 10..and i still would not bring the kids. It was irresponsible and getting a good deal is not that serious where your children are concerned
