My grandmother loves animals. She's notorious for taking in strays. She has 5 dogs and when some stray cats came up she started feeding them. They eventually reproduced until there were too many to count. She lives in an area where it's all family and a couple of mnths ago a relative moved next door. He brought with him two pit bulls that run free and do as they please. In the past three months they've killed at least 30 cats. At one time I raised pit bulls. I'm an advocate for them. I love the breed. They are great dogs if you take the time to train them but left to do what they please they can be very dangerous. I warned my Grandmother that it wasn't going to stop and begged her to let me call the Humane Society to come and get the dog. She refused b/c she doesn't want any trouble with the relative but asked me to take the surviving two mother's and two litters of kittens to the HS. My son likes to go and stay there and I warned them that if that dog came near my son I'd put a bullet between his eyes. I go to get the cats the other day to find her upset b/c the dogs had killed one of the mothers and the entire litter of kittens. While I'm there they let it slip that the dog came after my son last weekend when he was there. I was furious! First of all b/c they didn't tell me till now and b/c I know what kind of damage a dog like that can do and if my father had not been out there he could have killed my little boy. I have the surving litter of kittens and I'm taking them to the HS tomorrow and I'm filing a report about the dog. My son's not allowed over there until the dog is gone. All hell is prlly gonna break loose but I really don't give a damn. I have already made up my mind what I'm going to do. I just wonder what would you do if you were in my situation?
