Support / Recommendation posts go there. People asking for advice and not for a debate. Everything can be discussed, not everything HAS to be debated.

For Example...

If my opinion is not your opinion. And you insist on harassing me becuse my veiws are different than you. It escalates from a simple discussion into a debate. Which is sad.

I'm not saying this happens..THIS WAS AN EXAMPLE.

Right now a room Mod who puffed her chest out at me for my opinion in reguards to animal treatment. Is currently fighting not to be banned/restricted from a page or group.

her quote lately is...I was denied because I do not tolerate offensive posts.

Now, as long as a post does not swear or name names it is in the guidelines of COM. Everybody has a different ways of delivering their message. Some of us are very passionate with some issues. And we can forget to use tact.

I am a blunt, sacarstic, "bag" , when I am taunted I am nasty. However, I don't swear, or call specific people nasty names. When I get an opinion that differs from mine, I am not mean to that person. And I don't flag them. That would be wrong.

I do give a cyber hug to Esther for suggesting "someone" go find a group with her same thoughts. Thank you Cathy S for your comments as well.

God, what was the point of my rant.

Oh yeah. Can I join this group, I promise to be good.

Christina ... you have been denied because you have bad mouthed Debating Mums and it's members in other communities after one confrontation with one member even after that thread was removed. If people choose to share personal information in a closed community, then they should feel safe to express there opinions without somebody jumping to their own conclusions and using it as ammunition in another group.

esther it just seems rather cliquish that there would be a private group formed and rather suspicious that I would be denied access. especially considered I have never said anything offensive and have always stuck up for those who have been targeted by childish bullies on here. I have tried my hardest to be pleasant even when people have made it very obvious how they feel about me. I have never broken any of the terms of this site but yet people always flag me and complain. maybe I just don't have a likable face, I don't know.

To our other members - I will lock this thread in order to prevent this turning into another pointless discussion and/or back and forth insults. If anyone has any concerns over our "closed" policy, I will be happy to discuss it via PM

offensive like with crude content. I am fine with people not agreeing with me. Nit everyone is going to agree with everyone but I hate bullies and I do report them and thats why I was denied access to that page

Christina - let's not start insulting everyone on here. We keep it closed to try to keep it civil and supportive and to try to prevent personal attacks like the one you just posted. You just proved that we made the right decision. I suggest you leave this group too and join one with more like-minded women if you resent us so much.

Quoting Cindy:

if it's not debateable how is it discussable?

Sorry if it wasn't clear. I just meant that it was for general support/advice etc rather than debates. :)

Lets hope there are more "Which carseat do I get?" questions than "The baby swallowed a penny, do we go to ER?" questions lol

You can talk about your family, brag about your kiddos, ask for advice about anything, things you want suggestions for, those kind of things that no one should be debating about - just talking about :)
