I was just wondering what life was like in the different places that the moms are from. My son (8) has a BB gun and a .22 rifle; and we target shoot together. ( which is common in our area. )

I don't live in the city anymore, but I have shot a gun on several occasions. I dated a guy who needed a gun for his job, so he taught me how to use one. I'm glad I know, but I still don't want to own one. We have stun gun for home safety.

My child will never own a gun of any kind...BB or any other. We don't own guns, but I do know how to use a gun safely. I think until they are old enough to understand the importance of gun safety and how to use a gun, the only thing I will tell them is that guns are dangerous and if they see one they should never, ever go near it or touch it, and if they are someplace where someone is playing or handling a gun, they need to leave.

No guns. I hate guns.
Gun safety? Yeah, don't touch it and if someone wants to show you a gun.... leave. Never point at a person.. loaded or unloaded. Treat every gun as if it WERE loaded and deadly.
