What worrries me....even more than this psyco, someone online with an infant is gonna see this.....try it...and kill their own baby.

|'m all for exercising a baby, that does seem extreme to me though. I made sure I did daily exercises to strengthen Gabby, she crawled at 4 months, she walked at 9 months, shes a year now and runs around as good as any 2 year old could. As long as she is not putting her child at risk for injury, then whatever. In other customs its normal to exercise a child like this. IT needs to be done properly though. NOT just anyone can start swinging their baby around because they could get shaken baby or a dislocation. I held gabby upside down though, it promotes blood flow to the brain, dr oz said that, and that's why downward dog is important in yoga. It wasn't by her feet though, and not for an extended period of time. She does yoga now too. :P

Why someone would do this to a baby is beyond me. Their tendons and ligaments are not developed enough to support this sort of thing.

Meow, Christina. I believe I said IMO...not I know all. I also said that I was open to being wrong down the road. Not everyone is as attentive or been around long enough to know what I do for a living, I thought it was applicable to the subject of a video hoax....I guess you feel different about it. Kitty can retract the claws now, if she likes.

I know you have worked in the film/tv industry.. You never let us forget it. However, it doesn't mean you know all. The flesh moved, you could see shoulder blades moving, etc.. I highly doubt they have a baby doll THAT high-tech even now..

Christina, I think the reason it was pulled down was because of the boob shot actually. The strange shot of her topless that floats in while she's tossing, what in my opinion, is a doll in a rock garden.

I've seen the videos, this is the most "dramatic" of them. Some of the other ones aren't as bad. As a person who works in the film/tv industry, I'm of the opinion despite the info above about swinging babies that it is a fake. An easy fake, even if the doll moves a bit, they use dolls like that in commercials and other things.

I'm open to being wrong down the road. IMO, at this time, I think it's a hoax. Why? Who friggin knows. It's a stupid hoax that was made to get attention and piss people off.

@Rebecca.. That baby was real. This video that was posted was no longer working. It was taken down. But you can go to youtube and search for it and there are other videos of basically the same thing with the same woman. Anyway.. The baby DOES in fact move.

Personally, I think someone did this with her when she was a baby.. That's probably why she thinks it's Ok. In the one video I saw, it looked rather dangerous. Trained or not, things can always go wrong and I think it's stupid for someone to be throwing a baby up in the air and swinging them around like a dang rag doll. And yes, there were some moves that were a little jerky and swift. They weren't all smoothly done. That baby's probably going to be brain dead by the time it's 1!!!

omg! I would never do anything like that with my child! That is just insane. There are other ways to build up a child's strength without swinging them around. I couldn't even watch a minute of it. That just saddens me.

Yeah, I picture some stupid mom thinking it looks like fun and their baby slipping out of their hands mid swing, or being dropped, or even spiral fractures in the arms from when she passees him behind her head..

I believe it's a real baby, in some places, it looks like the baby is crying. My hubby wasn't sure because of the arms always being out, but I explained that as being a perfectly natural startle response that babies have so that if they are falling, they have more of a chance to grab something on the way down to slow their fall..

my thoughts exactly. Hoax or not it gives parents bad ideas and some might not be smart enough to realize what a bad idea this is

I didn't get to see it. I click on it and it says "This video has been removed because its content violated YouTube's Terms of Service."

From the outrage here, I'm guessing it was some pretty dazzling airbatics going on with the baby? =/

If you look it up online there is a history of this stuff coming out of nowhere in Russia. There was another video, very similar that came out and was proved to be a hoax as well.

[deleted account]

yea some kids if you pull on their arms to hard while holding their hands they can get injured, this mom may very well be trained to know how to hold and move properly so the child is not hurt. The baby does move, i think its real. Its not the only video either.

i had a hard time even watching that!

it is kind of hard to tell but i'm pretty sure the baby does move, and is in fact real

well.... if i was walking down the street and saw someone doing this i would be dialing the police immediately and rushing over to try to get the baby away from the whack job..... how the hell is this exercise? flinging a baby around like a circus prop, it's out there to say the least

Coming back to add...I swing Brooklynn around and hold her upside down too, but some of those moves....*shudder* like when she was flipping the baby up to land over her arm!?

Not real. A hoax.

It's a doll.

The face never changes and there is no real movement in reaction.

There were no really abrupt movements, so it wasn't so much the shaken baby thing, but more the joints thing.. ugh..

[deleted account]

swinging a baby gracefully is a hell of a lot different then shaking the crap out of them, this child is not jolted.

No one should be encouraged to do this to their child...on top of what she is doing in this video they could end up sending the LO flying

I'll have to look into this, what the hell this woman is doing and why later.

If I was that baby I'd poop on her.

If this woman is highly trained and this doesn't actually hurt baby, this kids is going to be one hell of a gymnast.

This has got to be a fit up. It must be a doll surely. If not I would be first in the queue to give this woman a smack. Has she never heard of shaky baby!

LOL.

I'm pretty sure grabbing infants by a foot and swinging them around your head is discouraged.
