I love Rocky Horror!

I think our kids see much worse on music videos shown on kids shows, to be honest. Rocky Horror has great music, and is very tongue in cheek. I can appreciate it isn't to everyone's taste, but I don't see how anyone could really be offended by it. My family are largely in theatre or other creative industries, so I saw it as a kid and wasn't scarred for life. In fact, my Mum was more reluctant to let me see the pathetic female role models in Disney stuff like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty than the sassy female characters in Rocky Horror ;)

This reminds me of my brother's god daughter who, when asked on her first day at nursery to sing her favourite nursery rhyme, launched into an enthusiastic performance of "Sweet Transvestite"... with actions! Cute x

I've never watched the show but a lot of my friends love it - including my Mum! I'm pretty sure they're not tweens/teens ;) And I know my sister and I watched Rocky Horror when we were tweens/teens and it didn't bother us or traumatize us in any way. Actually, when my sister was in grade 12 or maybe 13 (can't remember) her drama class did a production of Rocky Horror and it was fantastic!!

I ♥ Glee, but I ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ RHPS (yes, I am one of the cult followers that dresses up for midnight viewings and brings my own hot dogs and water pistols)
I agree with Amber; I think that the show is geared more towards the musical theater crowd. I remember watching RHPS when I was 10! Not that I understood all the references at that age lol.

Ugh.. I hate Glee. The ONE TIME I saw it, was when I went to the ER a few weeks ago (it was on in the waiting room). It proved all of my suspicions of why I thought I wouldn't like it just from the previews and commercials.. I'm all for musicals and stuff.. I love that kind of thing. But I just really couldn't get into it. Anyway, it's more of an adult show, anyhow. At least, the only people that I know that watch it are at least in their 20s (one that I know of is in her 30s or close to it).

Being a Musical Theatre kid for a good portion of my life Im actually surprised that I have yet to watch Glee. I ADORE Rocky Horror Picture Show though and imagine they will have a blast with it! :)

Honestly, most of the Glee demographic has seen Rocky Horror. It's not really a show geared towards the younger teens. And it's definitely more for musical addicts. Anybody who loves musicals and hasn't seen Rocky Horror, well, shame on them. I can't wait to see how they pull this off. The Time Warp looked good.

I doubt the younger ones even know of such a movie. I spoke with younger ones who watched the 'Madonna ' show and they did not even know that Madonna was a real person. They didn't understand most of the jokes, actually the 14 year olds didn't even get it.

Glee's target audience is not 'tweens or teens. Its an adult show aimed at adults thats why there is the big M on the rating with a warning before the show starts.
They got all this flack for the pictures some of the leading characters took in an adult men's magazine. Thats when they made the official statement that this show is not geared toward the 'tweens or teens. But personally I can't wait for next week's episode...yes I am a Gleek :)
