It is 9 degrees and dumping down rain here. Usually we go to the park down the street where all the festivities are but ummm...looks like it's going to be a pretty slow day because there still aren't any cars on the street.
Lame-o. But yeah. Go Canada.

Happy Canada D'eh!!!
Chris and Wyatt went to a car show and I'm at home studying...I have a quiz due today :(
Watching the fireworks from our street tonight. Sometimes I love living in a small town. We were also invited to go downtown but I have not been to a Canada Day party in downtown Ottawa since I was 22 and I am certainly not going today. I'm getting too old for that sh*t.

They will most likely be mentioning Canada day in Britain- at least this year because Wills&Kate are in ottawa for the celebrations this weekend!
SAdly not much happens in Quebec for Canada day. I was going to spend the day at the park, but at this point, I can barely walk my uterus is very crampy today - I'm at that wonderful stretchy stage (oh joy), so I guess i'll just suffer at home and keep the kids occupied the old fashioned way!

Do the Brits recognize Canada's birthday at all?
It is the celebration of the forming of Canada in 1867, originally called "dominion day" was changed by a private members bill in 1982, the year we gained full independence from Britain.
Just wondering if Britain mentions Canada day at all in the news etc.
