You and i don't care who you are in this world.You have no right abusing your child/children.I want both parents held responsible as it should be.

They said on The Today Show that it happened 7 years ago in 2004. Both parents need to have this child taken away. It sickens me that somebody would do this to their child.

Wtf is wrong with people. I dont even care that this father is a judge. Both mom and dad need to be in jail, father for BEATING his child, and mother for ALLOWING and JOINING it.

And then blames the computer for all their problems. How does this man be a judge in a family court when he has no clue how to be a parent himself.

I was thinking about when kids that have been sexually abused by someone and then report it years later.

It just seems crazy that with such concrete evidence nothing is going to be done.

This dates back to 2006 Sarah. The statute of limitations has run out. This is years after the fact. It's done that way so that the court system isn't completely clogged with people coming in 10+ years later and saying so and so did such and such. And that applies to most crimes. I think murder is the only thing that doesn't have a statute of limitations. I may be wrong on that one though.

That is seriously messed up.

I can't believe that even though there's a video, showing it was him, that it's now been "too long" to charge him with anything! Surely other crimes are punished after the fact, why not this one?!

I don't care what the girl had done, there is no way that another human being (let alone his own daughter!) deserves that kind of abuse. It's sickening.

For those who couldn't or chose not to watch the whole video, here's a breakdown:
There's a bunch of yelling and screaming and then her father hits her 14 times, then her mother hits her once, then her father comes BACK into the room and hits her another 3 times.
He tells her that he should BEAT her into submission. He tells her that she doesn't deserve to be in their household. And right around the 4:30-5 minute mark, it appears that he grabs her around the head/neck area and makes movements like he's going to punch her.

Yes, I counted the smacks. A total of 18 smacks with the belt, along with the verbal abuse, all because she downloaded some things onto her computer that her parents had told her not to. . . . . .

Oh Jesus......I am 1 minute 27 seconds into the video and I had to stop it. I'm sorry, that's fucking disgusting, and I feel physically ill. I don't know if I can watch the rest...... NO-ONE deserves the SMALL portion I saw, I hate to think what was on the rest. NOONE. EVER, EVER, EVER. I don't care if you spank your children or not, I don't care what your kid did, that's fucking ABUSE.



Edited to Add: Actually, I do care if you spank your kids or not, I meant, whether you believe in spanking children or not, in ANYONE's eyes, this should never be considered acceptable.

I don't care WHAT she did, she didn't deserve that. I watched the whole thing, every second of it and I am fucking FUMING right now. Someone needs to take both of those parents into a room and beat the shit out of THEM with a belt. And if there's a custody battle going on with a younger sibling? Neither of them deserve to keep him/her. No one should be able to treat their child like that, for ANY reason, and get away with it. I'm fuming right now and supposed to be going to bed. Hmm.

I sat here open mouthed watching that video, and I'm now feeling sick to my stomach!!!

I couldn't believe the abuse that girl suffered, at the hands of her father and mother!!!

The computer should have had the internet connection taken away if there were issues with it, not a beating like that, I mean come on!!!

That's sickening. Just absolutely sickening. Over downloading? Seriously.
And leaving and then coming back cause he didn't get in a hit that he thought was good enough??? The threatening and the swearing and the derogation. And blaming her...saying she deserved to be beat because she was *disobedient*.
What that girl did might not have been right. What the parents said on the tape was NOT worthy of the punishment she got. What she did wasn't even all that bad. If the computer's a problem, take it away. Or take away her internet connection. Totally disproportionate to the crime...above and beyond how sickening it is to treat ANY child like that. . .

Actually, this guy is a judge in our area of Texas.



Apparently he told the girl that he wouldn't support her in becoming a part-time video game clerk instead of going to college and threatened to take away her Mercedes. She said if you take the car I will get even. He did, so she did, by putting part of the tapes on YouTube. She claims she did it "so he would get help."



Legally, the statute of limitations has run out on this case for injury to a child because the incident dates back to 2006. However, because the girl supposed suffers from cerebral palsy (must be a very minor case because she walks and talks just fine) they may try to tag him with abusing a disabled person.



There is a total of eight minutes of video, some showing the mom being just as bad if not worse. The parents have been divorced for a few years and the mom is busy trying to put all the blame on hubby but the other videos disprove her big time. Nonetheless, the daughter chose to live with dad after the divorce, possibly because he had more money.



Apparently there is a custody battle going on right now for the younger daughter so I suspect Mom had something to do with the timing of the video. However, she didn't stop to think about how the video shows her.



The whole family is totally screwed up. Dad, Mom, and kid. I hope the younger kid is not, but I wouldn't be surprised. The effect of this tape should guarantee some problems in any case.



BTW, in Texas judges are elected, so his career is gone, whether he is indicted on anything or not. He also lives in a small town and thinly populated county so he may not be able to go back into private practice, at least not in our neck of the woods.
