I just find it to be rather unfortunate that there is FINALLY a starting point to work from and - that is what everyone has been bitching about for the past about 40 weeks - they still take it as it being 'shoved down their throat'. It's redonkulous - there HAS to be a starting point for change, otherwise it will just stick to the 'debating' arena where no one agrees really just says what they want.



So now that there has been a base established - it's time to move forward and work on that - stop whining about how nothing is getting done and just freakin move on from there.







I gotta say I'm getting sick of hearing people say that this generation and the next are going to suffer so much from this because of the debt it will cause -- well........ I'm pretty sure the 'founding fathers' of America took quite the blow and suffered A LOT in their times in order to get us to this point, so stop whinin about how hard it's gonna be on you right now and think of how it might help your childrens children when THEY need the help!



We gotta be willing to do our part today in order to make it a better tomorrow.

Not just for you, or me, but for everyone.

Jo..I wish but the fact is we will just here more bitching and whining as soon as the House passed the bill people were up in arms freaking out about how the government was taking over and forcing people to buy into a government health care..blah blah blah. We will have more Michelle Bachmann and Glen Beck sponsored teaparty protests in front of the capital with people holding ignorant signs with misspelled bigoted remarks founded on fear mongering misinformation they heard from idiots like Michelle Bachmann who have NO place in being anyones representative. I would not even want that lady to represent my dog. She would spend her time trying to convince him that the liberals were trying to take away all his bones and tell him that obedience classes were really socialistic indoctrination camps.

It's nice that the American people are getting results and something is getting done!



Especially after months and months (even though the pres hasn't even been in office for a year) of American people demanding results from the President. All the bitching, complaining and whining about wanting SOMETHING done -- can now slow down and I hope we'll start to hear some more happy notes about things starting to progress! :D

I'm curious as to why President Obama kept making sure he called it Health Insurance reform in his press conference this morning. Anyone notice that? He kept messing it up and making sure he put the word 'insurance' in there.

I have mixed feeling about the bill. I'm glad that something was passed, but it certainly has already been watered down significantly. So we've got lots of expensive reforms left, and cut some of the important things that would actually be reducing costs. At the very least, I'm happy to see that Pelosi pulled the provisions requiring insurance coverage for 'healing prayer' and other religious, non-medical treatments.

I am very happy that the house has put something through...but we still don't know what the final bill will look like. The Senates version is not as good, and I am sure the houses will be watered down a bit before it's all over...(sigh)...
