Just for fun, a 'childish' question!

When I was a kid I remember lots of times we would all ask each other what would you rename yourself if you had to?
It was always funny to see others choices for themselves....
So if you HAD to rename yourself, first middle and last, what would you name yourself?

I always wanted Katherine as my first name because I always liked the nickname of Katie. Now it is so popular. With Kate Middleton and Katie Couric.

I hated my name growing up as no one knew how to pronounce it. Even to this day, people don't know how to address me. It is Lisa with an E people lol. My full name is Lesa Dawn and my dad always sang the song Delta Dawn using Lesa instead of Delta. *** Corny*** Anyway, growing up I loved the name Victoria and wanted to be called Vicky. Now if I could choose, I think I would pick Georgia or August. I love those names. I would have named my daughter one of them but my husband hated them. oh well..

Thanks Mandie! And believe it or not I didn't even smile....honestly I think that's a decent name, my husbands aunt is named Shirley, she is an uber rich real estate lady living in Maine. She's pretty cool :)
Don't worry, there's plenty of nice people named Shirley out there!

Mandie - lol. That's funny... I didn't grow up with a lot of people with myname, but now that I'm an adult I know a few people (I think arund 5 or 6...). The most annoying part is people asking if I was born around Christmas - my mom said people asked her about it all the time too! lol.

But mandie! We deserve a good laugh right! How about if we promise to laugh, but not to judge....I mean it's not like you picked the name, you don have to be embarrassed by it!
Please!:)

Hahahahahaha Sarah- I will NEVER tell! Everyone ALWAYS says "No tell me I wont laugh, I promise" and then immediately falls over laughing when I tell! LOL!!

Holly- my mum wanted me to name Sarah "Holly" after a character in a book or movie that was called by our last name as well. Then when my sister was preggo she kept on at her about it as well- as it turned out the baby was a boy so that was that. ;P

I've never had a problem with my name really (Joy Elizabeth). It used to bother me a lot when people would break out into a crappy rendition of "Jeremiah was a bullfrog" 2 seconds after meeting me. And at Christmas, there were times I was sure my head would explode if I heard one more person sing "Joy to the World" to me, honestly thinking they were being original lol It got to the point where I'd tell someone my name and if they looked confused at all or like they hadn't understood me, I'd actually be the one to say, "Joy, like 'Joy to the World' ". I don't mind it so much now, but I do still give a healthy eyeroll if someone does any of the above lol Only name I ever wanted to change was my maiden name because it belonged to my father and had the word "cunt" in it (sorta). I've changed my last name twice now and I think I'll stick with this one :)

Never thought about this or did this only ever switched my middle name to last name around - when I went to a new primary school for one semester I wanted a fresh start and used my middle name. When I got back in contact with those girls at high school or thru facebook now it took them a while to learn to call me Mel, and some still reffer to me as Jade, I dont mind

Ah Liz, my kids call me Megatron when I put my angry face on. Then Devon turns into Bumblebee and Mia goes all Optimus prime and we have a royal (tickle) rumble :) I hated my name when I was at school, cause one of my teachers had one of those pathetic, simpering, whiney voices and insisted on calling me 'Coreeeeeen Greeeeen' all the time, ick. I like my name now, Corinne Elise Tams :)

For about 6 months when I was 13 I went by my middle name (Christine) because I thought it was *SOOO* much better than plain-ole Holly (which means bush with red berries... what kind of name meaning is that? To be named after a bush... then I always have people asking if I was born around Christmas). I gre to love my name though and I am happy now - especially since I got to have fun with my own kids' names! :)

I never wanted to change my name. I like it. Sara Lynn. My parents spelled 'Sara' after a bayou near our house. And 'Lynne' is my mom's middle name. I know the story behind my name, and I guess that made it sentimental.

I've been wracking my brains to think if I ever changed my name as a kid when we were playing 'pretend'. I probably used 'Laura' because I was a Laura Ingalls Wilder fan. But other than that I cannot remember changing my name, even just for fun.

My name is Karli Nan Baxter, which is my married name. I do like like the name Baxter, but I hated my other 2 names. If I had a nickel for every time I heard oh you mean Carly as in Carly Simon...I could retire. Nan, don't even get me started on Nan, I have no idea what the hell that is. My maiden name is Thomas which I have always liked. I do like Karli now that I am older because it is still uncommon. If I could change my name it would probably be Amelia Spencer Black. Black is a cool last name. Amelia is so sophisticated and pretty...classic and Spencer is kind of a family name that I love.

Sharon C-F, I totally hear you about never being able to find the personalized pencils or stickers or anything like that. There was NOTHING with "Krista" on it. The closest I could get was "Kris".

When I was 6, I wanted my name to be Melissa. I thought that was the prettiest, most feminine name I'd ever heard.

Even now, I don't mind my name, but I don't think it's particularly nice. It's just...there.

I hated my whole name growing up- my first name is actually Amanda but no one ever called me that except my mother when I was in the shite. Mandie sounds like a bimbo/70's porn star name (especially after the Mandy Rice-Davies scandal)- yeeeeeeuch- if I had to choose it would be a name I heard recently, Amiel. My middle name is my mother's twin's name which is a lovely gesture but it's a very boring, British name that EVERYONE cracks up at when they hear, so i would ditch a middle name altogether. I love my surname NOW as it's husband's name so I would keep that.

I really don't remember what I wanted to be called when I was little and now if I had to choose maybe Scarlet, not sure about middle and last names though.

When I was growing up people called me Katie. I HATE THAT NAME. I *will not* respond to it. The ONLY time I allow some one to call me that is if they are family. Even then I might glare at them. So as I got older I started introducing myself as Kate and ta-da! New name. :)

After watching My Girl when I was 10, I wanted to be named after Anna Chlumsky. I could never change my name even though I dislike it. It was given to me by my parents who thought it was a beautiful name. I feel like it would be an insult. A name is a gift and it's rude to give gifts back! However, I still love the name Anna and will be naming my daughter that if I ever have one.

Yes. Just middle name J. Hey, it was the 70's. And everyone else decided to name their daughter Jennifer! In high school, I went by Jenna. At least I was the only one ;)
