King size or Queen size?

I'm not a small person and i love my queen. I have plenty of room even when i was sharing with the ex and 3 kids. Sure it was snuggly and close but thats how i like it. I don't think i would want a king it would feel so big and probably not fit in any house!

We have a queen. I'd love to have a Cali king because my husband is 6'4" and I love to sleep in a starfish position. Plus the cats could have their own space. My daughter doesn't take up much room when she crawls in with us, but those darned cats seem to have the capability of doubling their girth the moment they crash out on the bed.

Our bedroom is wide enough for a king, but not long enough for a Cali king, so there isn't much point. Plus the whole drama around the sheets. I rarely see Cali king size in the store here. Although I would say that regular king size sheets are the ones I see in the sale bin most. Really nice ones too. I think with the small size of apartments & townhouses here, most people don't have room for kings.

We have a king size and it's awesome for if Logan wants to come jump on us or have a lie down in the afternoons with us and could probably fit the 4 of us in it too. It takes up most of our room though and it's hard to make it when I'm pregnant. I can lie on it sideways and sleep comfortably, husband is 6 foot 4 so it's pretty good so we're not in each others faces and stuff if we don't want to be. It's also expensive to buy sheets for and you can't turn the mattress over alone (don't think you're meant to anyway). We used to have a double which is now in the spare room and we both just wonder how we ever fit on it comfortably.

I just bought my first Queen ( we slept in a double) and i Find it's just enough room for us. There is enough space between us and it also still leaves lots of room in our bedroom. I've never had a King but i'm sure it would be exceptional if you feel you need a lot of space between you and your partner.

We have had a king and queen size. I prefer the king because we both move around ALOT in our sleep. we cuddle for a little and then kiss goodnight and spread out. I like to take up a lot of space and stretch out and with the king, I can sleep any way I want.

King all the way for us. We don't cuddle at night and my husband tends to be all over so it gives me room to sleep without getting hit or kicked all night.

I have a queen. I think it is more difficult to transition from a larger size to a smaller size...rather from a smaller to a larger. Next be we are gonna look at will be the sleep numbers bed though. I think we won't be able to afford the king size, so we will stick with the queen. Plus, linens are so expensive....I want to use them until they are threads.

I don't mind the queen we have. I don't so much cuddle when I sleep, occasionally i'l roll over for a quick snuggle, but we both toss and turn, and we both sleep hot, so we don't stay close together for long or it gets steamy (and not int he sexy way).. It has room for 2 kids to crawl in with us, but our current problem is soon there will be 3 kids, and of course they will get bigger and take up more room. We are thinking of a king when we move if space allows for it, but if not, i'm happy with my queen..

We have a Queen...I would never buy one again...Next time it will be a King for us. Queen is too small...especially with the kids crawling in with us fairly regularly...

We changed from a king to queen and ire really didn't bug me. My hubby is a big boy at around 230 lbs and it still didn't bother us.

Bhwahahahaha! My husband and I sleep in a full sized bed...that's right...not queen, not king...FULL. At least it's not a twin. =)

It's fine for us. It makes it difficult to sleep with the infant, which is why she stays in a cradle beside the bed.

The bed was free...made by my late grandfather who made furniture for a living. It has sentimental value so I'll never get rid of it. Plus, our bedroom is tiny and with my nightstand and our dresser, there would be no room for a bigger bed. The cradle barely fits in the room...and that's after we re-arranged. And my husband and I had to switch sides of the bed to make it work.

I like our queen. I don't mind a king if I'm not feeling well and want the extra space. But normally I feel like the husband is sooo far away. It's like a chore to get to him in a king size.

Love our Queen size! Plenty of room for my pregnant self and hubby (who is good sized) without us feeling like we're on top of each other when it get's warm. :)

I upgraded from a queen to a king because at the time I was 6 months pregnant and I sleep with a fat man. I needed the room. Now it's nice to have because my husband can sleep more on the mattress and less on the edge (he doesn't like being touched while he sleeps) and I'm not worried about hogging the covers. The down side is changing the sheets and making the bed. It's hard to do by myself. :/

We have a Queen size. I like it, but sometimes I would like to have a little more room, especially when the boys end up in our bed sometimes. I don't think the size of our bedroom would accommodate for a King size though.

I use to work at a hotel and one time some of us had to do a project and pick a night to stay over in the newest rooms so we could do a report on them and the service, etc. The room had a King size bed and my husband (who was my boyfriend at the time) stayed with me. We are both on the smallish side so when he was at one end of the bed and I was at the other, we joked around about how much room there was in between us. It almost felt like we were talking across the room lol.

If you like to sleep side by side and cuddle a lot, I think a King is too big. But, I also think a King can be nice if there are times you want to stretch out and have your own space.

We have neither. We sleep on a double. We used to sleep on a queen, but then started using the double bed upstairs (it was too cold in the basement) and ever since I find we cuddle and spoon more so I love it. And in the morning, there's still room for all 3 kids to climb in - it's a tight squeeze but I like it that way so we're all together. :)

I say King size all the way,i don't like our double size.My fella is a bit to long for it..he has to put a blanket on the end extra to cover the feet lol..most of the time its a miss match compared to the lovely covers i have on it and it drives me crazy.So for him i say King size, i will be so lost in it..i am only 4foot 11 bare foot lol.I have loads of room in the double bed as it is..:-P..so i say skip queen and go for king..i am sure he will fit that, plus our two little girls who have to jump in each morning they wake for cuddles.:-P

I have a king size bed and I share your pain when it comes to sheets! My mattress is 20" deep and it is IMPOSSIBLE to find sheets for that bed that aren't priced through the roof. Oh I can find sheets that are cheap but I have to safety pin them to the bed. My grandmother helped me buy the bed when I was living with my now ex husband because we're both big people adn a king size was better. Now that I'm single, I'm dying to cut down to a full but if I had to sleep with another person full-time again, I'd keep the king because I like my space. I'd just make him buy the sheets so I'd have some that fit. lol

I had a king and when we moved we bought a new bed, a queen because I too had the same problem with the pretty bedding. Don't do it!!! OMG I miss my king size bed so much. We are not big people (well hubby is tall but skinny) but he is really hot and I can't stand him touching me when I am sleeping. I really miss the extra space, I am so sick of having elbows and knees poke me, I just hate it. I miss being able to spread out and get comfortable, we constantly fight over each other hogging the bed. I think I have convinced myself to buy a new king size!

We have a queen and we decided that when we upgrade we're getting a king. I like to cuddle with Chad, but not when I'm sleeping. I need space when I sleep! We just sleep with our feet wrapped up together and our torsos separate. It would also give us more room for early morning cartoon snuggles :) lol
We plan on moving in 2-3 years, so that's probably when we'll upgrade. Queen just doesn't work for us any more.

I want a king cuz with our baby in bed with us it's a bit tight. Matt is 6'4 and 250lbs so he takes up a big portion of the bed. While I'm quite small and I do like being able to touch him, I think more space would be nice especially with a baby in bed with us. Right now we have a crib with one side off shoved up next to the bed to give some extra space for baby, but a king would be nice for us! Most of our sheets are already kind sized because we buy them big so we can tuck them in more. Theres just as many king sheets as queen ones here so that wouldn't be an issue. Too bad we can't afford a new bed :(

I'm 5ft 4", hubby is 5ft 11". So it's not like we need the length. I do like touching, but I also need my space. If we were right into each other the whole time, I'd probably kick him off, he's just too warm to cuddle up against the whole night.

We have a Queen, and when we travel and stay in a hotel with a King-sized bed, it's pretty special! :) It's nice to have all those acres of space, and not worry about whether I'm on my hubby's side of the bed or crowding him (I'm a sleep-cuddler, and he wants his space!). It's fun, and easy to keep our 1 year old from falling out of it when he comes to join us in the morning. (not to sleep, he doesn't sleep when we're around, but we sort of doze while he enthusiastically bounces all around the bed)

But when we got a new mattress, we still got a Queen size. I mean, back in the day people used to sleep two in a double bed. That's why it's called a double. For us it just didn't seem necessary to get a King, and like you say, it's inconvenient for sheet and blanket sizes.

It depends. Do you and your husband like a lot of your own space? Do either of you toss and turn a lot? Are either of you tall?

We have a king and I love it! I need my space to sleep and my hubby is 6'4 so a queen won't do. Even on a king his feet hang off the edge of the bed! lol

We have a Queen, and I love it. That said, I like to cuddle with my man, I'm not comfortable if I am not touching him--not all up on him, but I like to be able to rest my hand on him or put my food up against him. We had a king at our last place, and it was just a little too big for me, but it's all about preference. Also, I'm a pretty small person, so I don't need much space.
