Are you a makeup person? Do you have to wear makeup every time you step out of the house? Or maybe you even have to wear makeup in the house?

What does your husband or partner think about you wearing/not wearing makeup?

I have heard of some cases where husbands/partners only like their women with makeup on and they even have to wear it to bed.

Thoughts?

Oh and just wanted to add...are you brand loyal when it comes to makeup?

forgot to add the thing about my hubby. he doesn't really seem to care with or without. i've never asked and he's never said anything.

Nope, rarely wear any make-up. When I do, it's Mary Kay....my mom has her license so I get everything at wholesale prices.

i wear makeup constantly. i have acne, and blotchy skin and it makes me feel better about myself to cover it up. i have never gone to work without makeup. i will go out in public without makeup, but it's a rare thing.

i am not too particularly brand loyal. i like to try different ones, and when i find one i like i stick with it a while, then i get bored and try another one, lol.
i do really like mineral makeup from loreal.

I like the “Natural” look when it comes to make-up (Tones that are in line with my chocolate skin.)
Unless im going out to the bar, or a special grown up party…I add a little color, like browns, blues, purples, dark gold’s….red browns….(to match what I wear)

Some times when im in the house I will put some mascara on, and do my eyes…but that’s when im in the mood to do it. (Never feel the need to)
Most days when I go shopping, I will put on some mascara, and lip-gloss. If im just running in and out.. don’t do anything
Don’t wear foundation, but I do wear a bronzer that gives my skin a beautiful glow/shimmer…looks nice in sunlight

My husband likes me with or without, he’s just more glad, that I don’t look like a whole nother person with out it…LOL

My brands are Urban Decay, Mac, Covergirl, and Revlon…..oh and Hip
(Im also getting into glitter….never thought you could wear it in a way that didn’t look kiddie, but thank goodness for youtube!)

i wear what I like when i feel like it. about 50% of the time I wear eyeshadow, eyeliner & mascara to work.

i don't really need to apparently. two days ago we were open till 10, closed at 11.30. After we closed I went to the bathroom, splashed my face with cold water and came out scrubbing my face with a papertowel. One of the guys was floored "omg aren't you going to....' I lifted the towel off and he was just SOOOO puzzled!! lol. poor kid.

i have to wear makeup when i leave the house...at least mascara and foundation/concealer and i wont even leave the bathroom after a shower until i've put my eyebrows on hahah (i'm naturally super blond and my eyebrows are non existent). the hubby doesn't seem to care either way but he does notice a shift in my personality if i don't have makeup on...i'm more reserved and shy without it.

*edit to add* when i'm home, the only thing i care about is my eyebrows

yes i am brand loyal. bare escentuals ♥

I am a makeup person (light makeup) however I don’t have to wear it and there are times that I will leave the house without it. My husband tells me quite often that he likes me without make up and thinks I'm prettiest in the morning when I first wake up awe… but for real who is he joking!!! :) I think I look like crap when I first wake up personally. I'm not so much brand loyal however I do like MAC make up products.

I wear makeup every time I leave the house, but I don't wear a lot. I wear Purminerals 4 in 1 foundation powder, clear lip gloss, and a little shadow to fill in my eyebrows. If I want to dress it up a little more, I might put liner at the edge of my upper eyelids or use mascara.

My husband thinks I look lovely without it and constantly tells me I don't need to bother with it, but as I've gotten older, my skin tone is just too mottled to go without. I only use purminerals foundation, and Clinique liners and mascara, but I will use any shadow or lip gloss.

I've only ever worn make up at my wedding.... my friend did it for me. I am NOT a make up person at all.

I wear foundation whenever I get out of the house, just to feel normal again. Lol...and I'll go all out when my fiance and I are going to do anything or if something special is going on. And I am brand loyal. Mary Kay all the way! Lol

I rarely wear make up and my hubby likes the fact that I don't feel the need to wear makeup. I buy whats cheap except for foundation because I like the mineral powder stuff, my face doesn't break out when I use it.

I don't think I would ever marry someone who preferred me to wear it all the time or even most of the time.

I used to wear makeup almost everyday when I worked, now that I stay home I just wear it for family events, and other special things like that but it literally takes me 2 min to put all my make-up on.

My hubby doesn't care, he's told me I don't need to wear any but any time I don't people ask me if I'm tired cuz I get dark circles under my eyes.
I am not brand loyal, I am product loyal. My concealer and foundation are CG because I know what color I need and don't want to hunt for a new one. Eyeshadow from Maybelline, Anything else I try to get from Avon cuz I'm a rep.

I don't wear makeup, I don't think I need it.. That being said, I have a good concealer that works well, I've had it for maybe 10 years or so, and I use it if i've got a huge zit and something important where I may be photographed...

My hubby thinks I look better au naturel. That's good, because I have no idea how to put the darned stuff on.. The only thing i've been thinking of doign recently is finding a way to magically hide the huge dark circles under my eyes. I've always had these, but they've gotten much darker since having kids...

I'm very pale, so I look dead without something on. I don't wear a lot, but yes, I wear it most days. I'm brand loyal to my foundation. Everything else doesn't really matter to me. My husband could care less either way.

I always wear makeup when I am going to work, and most days I'll wear a foundation (I'm REALLY pale lol) even if I'm not leaving the house. Jordan doesn't seem to notice what my makeup looks like (I tested this theory last year...he failed miserably).
I am brand loyal to a degree. I refuse to use any makeup that is owned by a company that tests on animal, or contains animal products (such as cochineal) but thankfully there are a bunch of great companies that I rotate thru depending on the product. I do find myself going back to Urban Decay repeatedly.

Oops, yeah, I missed the last bit too. I'm not brand loyal at ALL. For the most part, I do tend to stick to certain lines for certain things. I've had good luck with Maybelline mascaras, for example, so I tend to stick with those. With eye shadows, I'm a complete whore and will buy whatever strikes my fancy.

Oh I see the last question now. I am brand loyal, I started using Mary Kay a few years ago. It's the only stuff that does not make my skin break out nor does it feel like I'm wearing it. I like that, it's very important. I hate flaky or heavy make up.

First of all, I think any man who wants his wife to wear makeup to bed needs a good swift kick in the 'nads. That's just frigging crazy.

My husband thinks I look prettier with no makeup or with just light makeup on. If I go all out with the smokey eye or something, I get "What did you do to your eyes?"

I don't have to wear makeup every time I step outside the house. At this point in my life, sleep is more important. Half the time, I don't even wear makeup to work. I do get my eyelashes tinted, though, and I have great skin, so it's not like I really NEED to wear much anyway.

Not really. The only time I really go all out with make up is when I believe I should. (job interviews, date nights, other important meetings/nights out)

My husband doesn't care either way. If he was shallow enough to say I had to wear make up all the time he would have gotten the boot long before we walked down the aisle. I don't think he even saw me with make up on the first few months we were dating.

I've never been much of a make up person though either.
