Miscarriage punishable by death?

"Georgia State Rep. Bobby Franklin—who last year proposed making rape and domestic violence "victims" into "accusers"—has introduced a 10-page bill that would criminalize miscarriages and make abortion in Georgia completely illegal. Both miscarriages and abortions would be potentially punishable by death: any "prenatal murder" in the words of the bill, including "human involvement" in a miscarriage, would be a felony and carry a penalty of life in prison or death."

"Under Rep. Franklin's bill, HB 1, women who miscarry could become felons if they cannot prove that there was "no human involvement whatsoever in the causation" of their miscarriage."

Just a bill, but I can't believe the bigoted crazies out there.

Wow what an idiot! I would love to see the faces of the people that opened the bill and read it for the first time.

So he's so pro-life that he's pro-death? *shakes head vigorously* It's too bad they can't impeach for being a complete moron and an evil one too boot.

Seriously, when will someone attempt to pass a bill that makes it legit to punish, harm, murder, arrest etc stupid people????

Oh, and to apply the death penalty is ridiculous, unless it is to stop these crazies escaping from their padded cells.

But on the flipside, wouldn't it also make someone who killed your fetus (whether domestic violence, car accident, etc) through their actions a murderer, which is a good thing?

I think it's ludicrous, I have no idea what the intention of the Bill is, not having read the whole thing in context (and no time to read it now), but does the wording of the bill actually SAY that women who miscarry could become felons if they cannot prove it, or has it been just a poorly worded bill, with the intention to prevent abortion, and to ensure that anyone who kills a fetus (such as in the examples I have given) is held liable.

I'm not saying I agree with it, but I guess I am just struggling to believe someone would be so nuts as to have a law in place to investigate every miscarriage.....or maybe I do believe it from a pro-life zealot who thinks that if abortion is outlawed, suddenly the incidence of miscarriage will increase. Stupid.

WTF! So statistically speaking, 1 in 4 women would be under investigation for felony murder at some point in their lives!?!?! Retards
