Actually socialized healthcare is pretty freaking awesome in my personal opinion. I simply don't worry about my health. It's fantastic. Sure, there are problems associated with it. We're definitely still working out the kinks up here. But definitely wouldn't trade in my public healthcare for anything in the world.

Not saying what is currently happening in the US is perfect. I don't know enough about it to say so. But public healthcare is freaking sweet.

OK- Has anyone for Government ran Healthcare researched it??? I am curious!!! If it is so great, why is England moving AWAY from it?? Why do people have to wait 6 or more months for an MRI, which BTW would've been a DEATH sentence for a friend of mine that was diagnosed w/ an aggressive Brain cancer! Why is Obama giving so many Unions & Big Businesses Waivers for not having to participate???? And why doesn't EVERYONE want Medicare/cade??? That's right, because it SUCKS!!!!

The answer, which Republicans have suggested for awhile is allowing cross state line Healthcare competition (prevent monopolies, reduce cost. Do away w/ crazy frivelless Lawsuits, Enfore Bourder security to prevent illegals who seek our medical care & Don't pay their expenses. etc! Yes, I do think that not allowing insurance companies to dump or deny someone due to illness is needed as well as a few other items. But the majority of that bill is a MAJOR Tax burden to recv mediocre, at best, healthcare!!! I mean 2,000 pages that even Pelosi stated "Well, You'll just have to pass it to see what's in it!" Even ivy league Lawyers have had a hard time deciphering this bill. I guarantee NO ONE read this bill!!! NO ONE!!!!

Jebus people. I can't STAND my current premier (who will be gone soon - yay!). He's a convicted drunk driver for goodness sake. I still wish him a long and happy life. What the hell could Obama have done to earn assassination? I guess diplomatic removal from office is out of the question Deanna?

Holy moly.

I'd probably vote for Obama if I was American. Maybe some people are disappointed by what he's done or not done, but he sure seems to get more accomplished than anyone up here does. It shames me to say it, but I didn't even vote in my last provincial election because all the candidates in my riding were horribly disappointing.

Oh dear God. We don't vote to keep the best party , we vote to keep the worst party out. I don't see why Obama deserves to be offed, he's one of the only decent Presidents America has had. And yes the world laughed when Geedubya was in. Paying a bit more income tax so everyone can have healthcare, and not pay insane amounts for a broken arm. Oh how disgusting.

wishing/praying and doing are completely different. You ask what Obama has done to me... well if he has it his way, my whole family may not be able to afford our medical insurance. Seems over the top to wish him dead for that, granted but people have killed for less. I think when someone says that... you need to ask "why" before judging them as crazy. I think a lot of people's values are "crazy", placing importance on material things, how often someone goes to church, etc. A man can wish his neighbor dead because his dog barks all night long... his right to wish that whether you like it or not, he can wish it as long as he doesnt do it since the neighbor or dog arent a threat to him.
Would it have been better had the person written "I hope Obama gets a painful std, cancer, or a flesh eating bacteria"... an excited utterance isnt the problem as much as the unthoughtful action.

I can't believe people have a problem with promoting sustainable living , we do the same thing it saves thousands over your life time and is one of the best things people can do environmentally , talk about not seeing the big picture .

"Only" getting $500 for something that's gonna save you thousands in the long run, not to mention the positive effects on the environment......sounds like a good deal to me.

Edit: It's expensive, yes, to make upgrades. But saving the planet isn't gonna be cheap. And a little break is better than none at all.....and then there's the above mentioned long run effect.....I don't see a down side....

Um, all he did was give tax breaks to people who weatherize their homes. Do you own your home? If you do, and you install solar panels, or weather proof windows, or any kind of upgrade that will save money and energy in the long run, he made it where those people get a tax break. People Bashing Bush- No Bush was Not perfect- BUT Obama has Taken more of our Liberties & Freedoms than Bush even would have wanted. Bush did things to help protect Americans, Obama is turning our country into Big Brother! He is slowly making Congress Powerless. Goes behind people back to pass laws he wants- i.e. Healthcare.

For those that are very religious, He had a RAT walk across his podium during a speach, during middle of the day on the White house Lawn. He was swarmed w/ flies inside the white house during interviews, pictures taken- also killed a fly in his hand on live video. A major Swarm of bees made their home on white house grounds & needed to be removed. All we need is Locust.

Not to mention the internet neutrality thing. WASN'T NEEDED!!! Before when you did a search on Obama it was fairly equal w/ pro's & con's on Obama, NOW first several Google pages are nothing but POSITIVES (NOT very neutral is it?), Do a search on it, also search communism. 1st article up is one from WikiLeaks praising Communism.

Not to mention a previous comment I made. The Media LOVES Obama. He can DO NO Wrong. That in it self Worries ME!!!!!!!

Murder is completely different than punishment by death. This is one of the reasons laws are separate from religion, so the two are not confused. A person cannot rob a store, beat up an old lady, or rape someone and then claim that he cannot be put to death because it says so in the religious book. There are man's laws to keep peace, order, and civility for a reason... religious laws are to give man/woman a conscience.

Jackie, how is wishing someone dead a religious freedom? Seriously, I don't get that one. I'm not religious, don't believe in God. But I was raised in the church and one thing I do know is that God would not like ANYONE to have hatred in their hearts like that towards someone. Kill the molestors? Fine. But to defend someone who wishes our president DEAD? That's insane. You may not like Obama or anything he stands for or anything he has "done to you"....but come on. If you really feel that way about so many people, if you really have that much hatred in you to wish so many people dead.....then you need help, IMO.

10---He is giving it his best. What more can a country ask for? Instead of focusing on the negativity the media feeds the Voters, the voters should be doing their own research, and concluding their voting decisions based on true facts. When so and so is running for such and such seat in Congress, find out who they are, who they want to replace, what has the present congress-person done to advance America in moving forward with a Health-Care system, that does not discriminate the poor...THE POOR! or allow pre-existing conditions to be a determining factor when coverage is needed to SAVE A HUMAN LIFE. I have supported President Obama since he placed his bid for the Presidency. I don't have any regrets. I only wish I could cast a vote for every district that houses a Congress person who does not work well for it's constituents. The end.

@ anyone stating they wish someone dead and/ or stating that it's "a religious freedom"- WHAT???? 1 of the 10 commandments is "Do UNTO others as you would have them do UNTO YOU!!!!" Wishing someone dead is EVIL!!! Praying for them to see the error of their ways, or to repent for the sins/ evil they have committed... That is what Religion means. At least being a Christian, Jewish, etc.

Though I am NOT an Obama fan & unless he really sees that he is either being mislead/ informed from those around him and wakes up to all our freedoms, liberties, & realize that America is NOT a "Bully" & that we do a LOT of good in this world, I will NOT be a fan of his any time soon!!!!

Dont forget... with that supposed healthcare plan... Obama ia also raising cost for military times four, yes 4x what you pay now. That will force almost half the military retirees to go without insurance but... halilueah... those poor people who have never worked a day in their life will get FREE medical care now (sarcasm).

As for wishing the president or anyone else dead... that is a religious freedom. There are several people on my wish list... every single one of those child rapists in the world, I pray they die a horrible painful death... along with several relatives, ex friends, people who beat their children... I would have no guilty conscience if I was given the switch puller for the electric chair and I would clean out prisons. I think it is ignorant for people to say that it is wrong to wish someone dead, makes me think that some people have no empathy or are kin to those abortion clinic bombers. I dont care if Obama lives or dies... the man has never served in the military, never put his life on the line for anything he believes in except his drug sales. I truly wish the man lives a long time, long enough to see his children follow his same path (evil grin) but rehab will prolly be part of his healthcare plan for them so they will be lucky.

I want someone new for 2012... someone who has more than street smarts and a real nonracist, I dont care the race, religion of the president (i truly believe that NO atheist will hold office because yes the govt was built on religious views... not as a particular religion but the basic rights and courtesy any human deserves).

I would NOT vote for him. I didnt the first time and I wont this time. I am sure alot of people think he is great but I am not one of them. I am an army wife and so far he has dont NOTHING for the military. He took away raises for military and lowered the BAH. That is money we have to life off of. it pays the rent, the bills, AND groceries. Yes my husband gets paid but the BAH is for the family. Cause Everyone knows...the military doesnt make enough for what they do
