Like some of the other woman, there are only 3-4 days I even wear undies and then I wear jeans so I dont have this issue. Id much rather go comando then have floss up my butt.

On another note, did you know the first sign of a recession in a country, is the sales of underwear/socks dropping? Sorry Im full of useless information

Panty lines are not a good look. They are not sexy at all. Sometimes I have them because I don't have any other clean underwear or pants and I cringe at my own ass.

Personally I don't give a flying hoot if someone can see panty lines or not, as long as my a** is covered and nothing is hanging out I am good with that. I prefer comfort over style any day of the week, I generally wear jeans anyways, unless I just choose to bum around the house in sweats. If I do have panty lines...for all the haters (don't look!) my husband doesn't complain and I have no one else to impress...I like to be comfortable and a string riding up my arse is not comfortable.

I agree - they are just a foopa that are like 'come on'. Seriously, panty lines aren't even the HALF of it anymore though - I saw a girl a few weeks ago who had SO many rolls from the back, and wearing skin tight streatch pants, and a shirt to accent each one! There was the arm pit roll, the chubby boob/bra roll, the under the boob roll, the fat muffin top roll, the ass roll, the panty line roll and the leg/thigh roll.............. it was like the walking Michelin man and I see this alllllllllllll the time. I so want to just be like BUY 1 MORE SIZE UP OMG but sometimes I walk around without a bra in my streatch pants without underwear and no make up, wind blown hair and all and that probably offends people too so I try to laugh at what I think is funny but not judge too hard. My boyfriend is teaching me not to care.... but sometimes I really miss my make up LOL

I hate panty lines with a passion! I guess it's cause my Mum always taught me to wear the right underwear for the outfit. I also hate thongs hanging out of waistbands, dark underwear under light coloured tops, it just bugs me I don't want to see it, that's why it's called UNDERwear. Has anyone else in the U.K noticed these muppets wearing leggings that are actually thick tights? A young lass walked past me today and my 3yr old asked me why she had no trousers on, you could literally see her ass through the fabric. Argh.

I also chose my underwear according to my outfit. I hate panty lines, and as a result I tend to wear thongs if I'm wearing anything on the tighter side (although with tight jeans it usually doesn't matter because jeans are thick enough)

That said, I used to work in a deli and the cook was this 45 year old El Salvadorean guy and he freaking LOVED panty lines!!!!! Like, his type was totally like post-pregnancy foopa panty lines women. We had a big window in the deli where we saw all the street traffic and a hot woman would walk by and he'd be like "Oooooh, Mary, look at her, I wish she'd be my girlfriend" and I'd be like "Oh yeah, her?" and point to the hot one, and he'd be like "No! Her! That one!" and I'd be like "Uh...oh" and sometimes I'd be thinking like... she looks four months pregnant... maybe she is... or she'd actually be pushing a stroller and covered in spit-up.

Hey, I'm not judging, I've totally been the post partum mommy with a belly covered in spit-up, but apparently some men like it all!

It doesn't bug me to see panty lines on other women. And since I only wear them on 4 "special" days of the month, it's not an issue for me :P



Edited to add: One panty issue that does bother me, and thankfully it's not so "trendy" anymore, is when girls would wear their thongs or g-strings where you could see them above the waistline of their pants....how is that sexy in any way? /shiver

It also annoys me. I also don't like when you can see panties through the pants. Like if someone is wearing black underwear and you can see them through white pants. The underwear should be light so they don't show through.

Valid point Rebecca. As an adult it is certainly your right to dress as you wish. The point I was trying to make with high school girls is to teach them a bit of self-respect with their bodies. Of course it's an attention-seeking ploy. But then when the WRONG person gets their attention, well then all hell breaks loose.

I'm not going to wear boy undies with spandix.

But, meah.... don't really care about others making the fashion faux pas. I have seen 'em on others... but I've seen more offensive fashion mishaps.

Cant say it is something I ever take notice of on other people although personally I hate wearing a G string , I dont dig the feeling of flossing my own butt I like french cut or bikini cut .

I don't wear underwear, period...unless it is that time of month. After years of gyno issues it has saved me. Though, if it were a choice between a thong, and the UTI's/yeast infections that run with them - I choose panty lines. Thanks, I'm not that crazy about someone knowing I'm wearing underwear. Besides, if I bend over far enough you can see I don't. Nothing is grosser, in my opinion, than those whale tales, far worse than a panty line.

i don't give a shit about panty lines to be honest. people know i wear panties it shouldn't be any shock if they see the proof. i'm not going to wear butt floss so some dumb fuck doesn't get THEIR panties in a bunch that they can see lines. it's just not on my list of things to give a shit about, lol.

I wear jeans most days, so no worries about panty lines here. :) I have two pairs of dress pants: one black and one a pale tan. So with the black pants, I obviously don't worry about panty lines. The tan ones? My sole concession is wearing nude underwear so that you can't see pink flowers or something equally stupid through the fabric. I have no idea if I have panty lines or not...it's not something I've spent the mental energy worrying about, to be frank.

None of my pants would show it through, so I don't worry about what type of underwear I own, but if I was to wear pant styles that show it I'd be conscious of not showing through!
