That is very cool.

years ago I read a study where they hooked plants up with electrodes, they then tried various stimuli to see the plants reactions. Soft music, harsh music etc. When aggressive stimuli was applie the plants reacted triggering an electric response, caused the plants to "dump" tubs of shrimp to their death. I wish I could remember it all and how it was all phrased.

Pretty interesting. I've seen trees grow crooked so they could have more sun exposure. I suppose it's sort of the same thing. Never thought about roots doing that too.
