When you were pregnant did you show off your bump or cover it up??
Did you ever wear a bikini when pregnant on the beach??
Did you wear tight tops or floaty ones??
Do you think it's wrong to have your bare bump on show??
:)

I showed it off!! It was the only way to get a seat on the underground on my way to work!! I actually fitted in most my clothes because I lost weight in the beginning ( ow the joys of morning sickness)but I bought some cute dresses and skirt for work.. I am not a bare belly kin of girl I think it is a bit tacky but a bikini on the beach is fine. I actually just saw some one infront of KFC smoking with a naked pregnant belly I didn't like it !

I was six months pregnant when we went on a vacation to Crete and I wore a bikini on the beach and by the pool. When I was out and about I wore pregnancy shirts that covered my bump but you could see that I was pregnant. I live now in Hawaii and I see a lot of pregnant women in there bikinis on the beaches here and I think it looks beautiful.

I worked at a store that called for very dressy attire from the employees so I loved having fun with the clothes! I wore a lot of empire waist tops that would cover the cleavage that was continually amassing on my chest as well as flow softly on my belly.

My tummy was VERY sensitive after about 3 months, so a lot of material made me VERY itchy! So when I was at home, I walked around in a sports bra. When I was out, I was dressed up for work or if I was just wandering around, I would wear tank tops or soft shirts that didn't show off or hide the tummy. I just went with comfortable and cool cause I was pregnant all through summer lol March - October

There was only once that I wore a bikini top and I was 5 months, we went to an out of the way beach with a bunch of friends and they had all seen my belly before anyways so I didn't care lol

I don't think it's wrong to show your bare bump, but, it has to be accompanied by dignity. There are some girls around here who will wear a miniskirt, thonged ass hanging out with a tank top rolled up over her belly and no bra and it just looks trashy!

But then there are some women who just have that... look to them... where she can wear a bikini top, some capris and sandals with her lil belly bump out and she looks classier than a woman in a suit!

It's all about attitude and confidence - and putting yourself together in such a manner that shows the confidence without the trashy "I have confidence and don't care what you say" attitude. (I hope this last paragraph makes sense to everyone, cause I can't think of another way of putting it lol)

I loved wearing tight tops when i was preggers both times, i love the lovely round shape of a pregnant tum, i think it looks very feminine and always make me smile when i see a pregnant woman showing off her lovely bump. Personally i don't like the bare flesh look,i think it looks a bit cheap, although sometimes you cant help but show a bit of bump if your top rides up! I only went swimming once during my last pregnancy (not at all in my first) and that was in a hotel pool, yes i did have a bikini one is expected to bare flesh in a swimming pool so i didn't feel too uncomfortable, i did feel extra protective of my bump tho as it felt all exposed!!

I personally think the bare bump is not a good look, but thats just me. If others want to wear short tops and show the world then thats up to them. Each to their own I suppose.

As an L&D nurse, I think a pregnant belly is a beautiful thing, and is something I'm obviously comfortable with, but I'm also a fairly modest person, so wearing a bikini was not something I did prior to pregnancy either. However, I had been through years of infertility, made my peace with being childless, and spontaneously conceived at 38. I was THRILLED, and just in a constant state of joy over my growing belly. i never wore anything tight or revealing, but I did enjoy wearing clothes that accentuated my gravid state. I must also confess that as a small-chested girl, I enjoyed my newly found cleavage, and did wear clothes that showed them off a bit as well, lol. Sadly, they are still larger than before, but since nursing, have become decidedly lopsided..ah the joys of motherhood.

My bump was so huge I had no chance of hiding or concealing it so I decided to just go with it :) I wore tight tops but they were long so no skin showed, and also wore some looser strappy dresses. I was heavily pregnant in the middle of a very hot Aussie summer so I did wear a bikini, but only in my mum and neighbour's backyard pool, not at the beach!! I don't really have an issue with shyness though so I was totally comfortable. I think it's a completely individual thing, and how other women dress their bump doesn't bother me in the slightest.

i never showed it off bare, mainly because i am as white as a sheet, and i didnt feel comfortable doing it, even tho i had a gorgeous tiny bump and gained no where else, have no stretch marks etc. but also u couldnt tell i was pregnant until i was 7months gone cos i had no water and a relatively small baby!!

i think if ur happy to show it off, why not.

and i wore tight tops, but this was only becasue i didnt buy maternity clothes i just bought them one size bigger than usual! x

I showed mine off lol Never bare bellied but I wore shirts that made it obvious I was pregnant. After trying for over 10 years, I was damn proud of that baby in my belly LOL! I never bought maternity clothes though, because they were too expensive. I just wore elastic waisted pants and wore my regular tops. I didn't go to the beach while I was pregnant...even though I live in Florida and the beach is like 15 minutes from my house. It was hot out the majority of my pregnancy (Florida HOT) and I just didn't like going outside much lol I'm an indoor girl anyhow. I don't think it's wrong to have a bare bump as long as long as it is tastefully done.

I hid my pregnancy for several months from my co-workers & students. I did not carry large anyway. I wore mainly modest maternity clothing because I was still working. I may have gone to the pool when I was newly pregnant so there was no way at all to know that I was. I also believe there is a fine line between a sexy beautiful pregnant woman's body versus sloppy trashy looking with the belly hanging over.

I personally believe that a pregnant belly is one of the most beautiful things in the world! I wore both loose baggy shirts and shirts that showed off my bump. While dressed, I never allowed my actual stomach to show because I believe that it is not something classy people do. I don't walk around with my stomach showing when I'm not pregnant so I'm not going to do it while I am pregnant. On the beach, however, I did wear a bikini. My husband insisted. He was in love with my belly and the fact that our child was growing inside. Because my husband loved my belly so much, as did the rest of my family, I felt comfortable wearing a bikini on the beach. I think it is something that is up to each woman and how comfortable they are with their pregnant bodies.

I never showed off my bare belly but I didn't wear really baggy clothes either. I hated when people touched my belly w/out my permission, I'm a little insecure about my belly anyway so I can't stand it. I don't think its wrong to show your belly, I actually think pregnant woman are beautiful, I just don't think I am :)

I didn't show off mine. I wear long layers to try and disguise it a little. I'm not ashamed of being preggers, I just don't want to look like a whale! ha ha Always fully covered. But I think I already mentioned on one of these posts that I'm modest. I don't really like to see it when pregnant girls are wearing belly shirts and stuff. I think it looks a little vulgar. But if they are comforable and and okay with it, more power to them.

I didn't wear a bikini, I NEVER wear a bikini! (too shy, again) I didn't go swimming though, so it wasn't an issue. If I do, I am going to wear swim trucks and a t shirt. ha ha

I never showed off my bare bump. With my first baby, i didn't even buy maternity clothes, i just wore baggy tops! I felt really unattractive tho, so with my second i invested in some maternity wear.

I wore tight tops that showed off my bump, but i never wore anything that showed off any flesh.

I saw on old photo today of Katie Price (aka Jordan) in a crop top and low slung jeans while she was about 8 months pregnant, i personally i didn't think it looked very nice!!

I also certainly never wore a bikini!! (i don't even if i'm not pregnant tho!!) :)
