Hi Anastasia, I've been touched, never in a sexual way, once in an aggressive way. It's not cool at all. I know what you mean about people thinking your crazy too. Probably why it's taken me this long to even be comfortable talking about it with strangers. I've finally gotten to a point in my life where I really don't give two craps what others think of me. =) lol! I never used to to a certain point but when it came to things I'm convinced about it's annoying to listen to people tell you you're just nuts.
As for being pregnant, not that I can recall with any of mine did it get worse. After they were born for a time it did but leveled itself off again. I think it has to do with the new baby in my case and in yours probably because your body is in a more heightened state. If that makes sense? Our bodies go through so much when pregnant it doesn't surprise me that some would notice things more.
My brother and my dad are two who can see things very well. My dad and my oldest are the more prophetic ones. My dad has never been wrong to this day and our oldest, well time will tell with her. Hers are a little more scary because she doesn't have the filter dad does. Dad doesn't tell us everything he knows whereas our daughter doesn't realize it can be upsetting so just talks about it.

Me and my mum have had encounters since our childhoods, my aunt and nana have also had experiences but not as often or as strongly as mum and I. I've also had 'prophetic' (i know, i sound so stupid) dreams years before they happen. And anything I read in a Tarot deck happens or passes the way I say it will, good things bad things it doesn't matter, if I see it, it happens...so I have not read for anyone in almost 5 years because it scares me and I don't like having that responsibility on my shoulders (especially because of what people ask).

My most recent significant ghostly encounter was during my pregnancy. It started at about 20 weeks and continued until about 30 weeks. The first was at home...I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth when someone walked up behind me and slid their hand down my back and squeezed my bum, I thought it was Nathan and proceeded to tell him off for sneaking up behind me and I turned around and no one was there, I thought he'd just snuck out while I was telling him off, but when I went out into the lounge room and asked mum where he was so I could sneak up on him mum told me he hadn't came through and when I found Nathan he told me he had heard me say his name and was ignoring me. So, that really freaked me out because it was such a slow sexual touch, I did not like that at all! At work, I was cleaning at the time so we worked at night after hours, we'd always heard him (the work ghost) typing while we were working, whenever we got to his office doorway the typing would stop and I think that he would leave so we could clean his room, when we were finished and in the next office he would make his way back to his office and resume typing. During my pregnancy (the 20-30week mark) he allowed us to see him... sometimes he was alone but most of the time he had other men with him...it was funny coz they were all dressed in their white collar suits, but they never talked to us or touched us, they just stood there watching us and lol...sometimes they would bring us our supplies when we'd left them in the wrong room...we would have garbage bags draped over the bins for us and our cloths on the kitchen table...thinking back on it it was sweet of them, but it scared the living crap out of us at the time. Around the 30 week mark they disappeared, we could still hear typing but it wasn't everyday anymore and they did not show themselves to us again...we continued to be freaked out until I finished work 8 weeks later... my mum and I have a theory, we think that so many men were around because I was carrying a boy and they were deciding whether or not we were a good enough family for them to be born into again. I think they disappeared because someone won...at first I was feeling really scared and very protective because I didn't know if they were trying to harm my son.

So, finally after my long winded blah blah, I was wondering if anyone else has had increased experiences during pregnancy or whether you've experienced this as well?

me and mum have talked about it alot...but i don't like to share it with too many people coz they think your crazy...so this is the perfect thread!

LMAO I have a hilarious story about the Ouija board, when I was 13 my friend and I had a HUGE OBSESSION with the ouija board. We had each other goin like crazy in our own lil subconcious way - by that I mean I don't recall purposely moving it and neither does she - but it did! Anyways.... us two girls would "talk" to this boy named Justin while our other friend wrote down everything that was "said", man we were LOST in this fantasty story of Justin and all the things he told us! I don't remember exactly what was said now, but I remember spending HOURS with those two girls and that stupid board.



ANYWAYS onto the story, my brother, the sweetheart that he is, told me and my friend that we had better be careful, because if we angered our friend... he would haunt us and we asked him how we would know if we angered him, if he would just stop talking to us or if there would be "a sign"...... well Steven told us... "You will know that you have angered him if the pointer or the board go missing. Only 1 will, but if it's its the board, he will forgive you... if it's the pointer... your torture and torment will be eternal."



Call us gullible, call us naive, call us whatever you want - we believed him!!!!!!!!!!!



So we spent everyday trying to be "nice" to this spirit... until after a week he stopped giving us "real" answers... and we told him we were only going to come back once more if he kept it up.... so the next time we went back... the pointer was gone!!!!!



lmao we nearly shit our pants and we went to Steve to ask him what to do... he told us there was only 2 places it could be... in justins hometown or in the nearest cemetary, but if it was in the cemetary... the only time he would let it be shown is after dark.



AND YES WE BELIEVED HIM AGAIN !!!!



So we waited until dark... and we went to the cemetary... and we searched that bloody place up and down and all over, got the crap scared out of us by a deer, a raccoon and the stupid old woman that lived across the road from it too... before we gave up and went back to my place to ask Steven what we had to do to get rid of the "curse of the ouija board."



We showed up at the house nearly in tears to find my brother and 2 his friends all standing there with the pointer dealio laughing their asses off at us. Next thing you know our parents conficated our ouija board and I've never picked it up since lol

ok listen to this one... i was upstairs when i was a teen on our livingroom couch watching tv... my brother and sister were down in the basement with some friends over... suddenly the couch started shaking violenty!!! scared the living shit outta me! the only thing i could think of was that my bro had snuck upstairs w/o me hearing him and was playing some prank on me... but the moment i thought it i also realized there was no possible way he was strong enuff to move that couch that violently... sure enuff he was no where in sight... i ran downstairs and everyone was there... i was like: "Did you feel that???" they asked what i was talking about... "the couch upstairs just shook!" they looked at me as though i were insane... i couldn't get it out of my head the whole day, what the hell was that!!!!!???

later that night i was watching the local news... turns out we had an earthquake!!!! which is completely unheard of where i live! (windsor, ontario which is across the river from Detroit, MI) at least i proved to my brother and sister i wasn't crazy!

When I was little, I was so scared that something was under my bed. I used to lay in bed at night and I SWORE I could feel my bed moving. Years later, in my teens, I was laying in bed one night and couldn't sleep. So I was playing a little game of "how long can I hold my breath?" After about a minute of holding my breath, I felt my bed start to shake a little. Come to find out.....it was my heart beat! LOL I guess when I was little, I was so scared that I had been holding my breath and after so long your heart starts to pound pretty hard and it can actually move your body a little....

going up dark stairs are the worst!!!!!! as a teen i had a room in the basement and to reach the light switch i had to go up the stairs first... i ran like a mad woman up those steps to hit the light switch...

i can also relate to jumping clear across the floor to my bed... you just know some bloody hands are going to reach out from under ur bed and grab ur ankles! i even went as far as removing my matress from the bedframe and placing it directly on floor... Now *I'm* the weird one!

as a child i had an extreme 'ghostaphobia'? while other kids were afraid of monsters i was terrified of ghosts! it was fairly extreme until i was a teen (but even then....) when it was dark i was always afraid to open my eyes b/c i had this fear i would see one! i couldn't be in a dark room with a mirror!! even now i refuse to look in a mirror at night! (the whole bloody mary thing i think)

i had my odd experiences with oujia boards as a teen... i'm sure some of it may have some explaination behind it but i have yet to figure out nething plausable...

1. a bunch of us were playing it in a forest... my friend and i were using the indicator and other teens were asking questions... one critic was saying he didn't believe ne of it... so we asked it to prove it was real it spelled out "Claudios Fly is Down" (of course he was wearing a long shirt and none of us could see... he was like watever and pulled his shirt up and sure enuff!!!!

2. we were all in art class (bored, waiting out the last 20 mins of class) someone had left behind a board as part of an art project... he didn't have an indicator so we made a makeshift one out of styrofoam... i had a theory about the static electricity in the foam... so my friend and i lifted our fingers just barely (but enuff that onlookers could see there was space between the foam and our fingers) and would you believe it? the bloody thing still moved!

3. when we were using it often after my friend had just got one... i would always feel i seen white light figures out of the corner of my eyes when i was alone... turn to look or focus but, nothing there of course...

i know we've all heard the urban legends about oujia boards but i'm really not embellishing any of this... it was definitely paranormal...

have i ever seen a ghost? no i dont think so! do i believe in the paranormal? i think it's safe to say i'm rather torn between it being paranormal or just unexplained

i do believe in the laundry ghost that's always stealing one sock so i can never find a matching pair!!!!!

A Different Kind of Paci Fairy (April 17, 2009)



I am so frustrated right this minute. Jacob has 5 pacifiers...FIVE and he's having a fit right now, not wanting to take a nap, because I can't find ANY of the paci's. I do a paci count every day and as of last night I had 3 of the 5. I don't know what the heck he DOES with them and I'm just so....I wanna scream right now. I think the last time I had all the paci's was about 2 weeks ago. I'll never forget seeing them all nice and clean on the counter in the kitchen. See, when I give him one and he loses it, I'll go find it and keep track of it. But not Daddy, nooooo. He does a "surface scan" of the room and if he can't find it, he just grabs a clean one and next thing I know I'm where I am now...with no paci and a screaming kid...and I'm just so sick of it. I know this probably sounds trivial to most of you and maybe it is. Part of me wonders if this is Jacob's way of telling me he doesn't want them anymore but then he throws a fit like just now because he has none. I've sworn I'm not buying anymore but I can just see myself desperately sprinting through Target later to buy one when I can't stand the crying anymore. In all the months of bottle feeding with Dr. Brown's bottles, I never ONCE lost any of the tiny little parts. So why can't I keep track of the paci's? I've torn my relatively clean house up twice today looking but I swear, they aren't here. I think there is a paci fairy...an evil paci fairy...who sneaks into my house at night and collects them and hides them in the walls or something and then peers out at me through a light socket, giggling softly to himself as he watches me hunt.......sigh........thanks, I feel better. Anyone else even come close to understanding this particular frustration?

Joy B. ~ Yours reminds me of our resident ghost. She's always messing with the toilet. haha... She's the reason we got our house cheap. She is the previous owner who died here. My hubby knew her from when he was a kid growing up in this neighborhood. She had fallen down the stairs going to our basement and from what we were told died there since no family is nearby and didn't notice she was missing in action for a couple days. Kinda sad really. Can always tell when she's getting agitated with me too. Like our dishes, if I don't do them right away they get thrown to the floor. Same toilet thing with my hubby and our boy. Even the other day I watched a toilet paper wrapper (we buy the kind that comes wrapped inside another bag) get crunched up and thrown out. I said thank you but can I go to the bathroom in peace please. I was going to do that when I was done. LOL! Nice to know I never get real privacy.

Oh I forgot to mention that my current home has cornish pixies!

They're right little buggers!!! I've had food disappear out of cupboards (prior to Jay moving in otherwise I'd just blame him). They are always hiding things from me. I can spend an hour turning my house upside down searching for things only for them to show up another day in the first most obvious place that I looked. I'm convinced they live in the area under the stairs which is all walled up.... either that or l have ghosts and the bodies are hidden under the stairs!!!!!!

I don't believe in God and heaven and hell but I do believe in "spirts" ghosts etc... when I was 13 I was babysitting these 2 kids I knew and their parents were goin to be gone until well into the night so I was playing nintendo - yes, way old school original nintendo mario bros. I had no idea there was a ghost in this house, I had not been informed of this vital information.



Earlier that day my friend said she might come visit me while I was babysitting and I told her no I didn't want to get in shit for having someone over while the parents were out.



So around... 10:30pm I heard a kind of knocking on the window that was partially open, so I said "Go away ! I told you I don't want to get in shit for having people over here!" and then the blinds (the vertical ones) started flipping back and forth so I said "Stop messing with the blinds, you're gonna wreck them, go home." and I got up to close the window.. and tell her to piss off... no one was there. I screamed like a lil bitch and woke up the kids!!!!!!



Hailey comes running from her room and goes "WHAT'S WRONG WHAT HAPPENED!" and I was white as the palest lil white girl ever and she looked at Brayden and she laughed and said "I think she met Fred."



I looked at her and said "What?" and she then proceeded to explain to me that Fred is a lovely old man that lives in the house that lets you know he's around and that he's friendly, he's never hurt anyone, he just does things around the house with the blinds and cupboards and dishes and electronics.



Seeing that these two kids - 5 & 7 years old aren't afraid of this ghost I was like "alright, I'm good." they went back to bed and I went back to play my mario bros game. Well... as soon as I got to the first castle, right where you jump off the stairs to go down the flagpole... the freakin system shut off. I was like "Okay Fred, it's nice to meet you, I would like to play my game please and thanks." Thinkin if I'm nice he'll be nice right? I turn the system back on... same spot again... system off.... "very funny fred, please let me play!" turn the system back on, same spot, system off... "HAHA FRED! Stop Please." once again turn the system back on, same spot, system off. Well I got mad LOL I said "OK LISTEN FRED I WANT TO PLAY THE DAMN GAME! PLEASE STOP!" The cupboard doors opened and shut faster than I could blink and I nearly shit my pants lmao I whispered "I'm sorry." sat on the couch and didn't move until the parents got home, got my money and told them I'd never babysit for them again unless it was in my house or durin the day where we could go somewhere else LOL



Later on I found out that this ghost had been there for years upon years and there had been many different occassions where people have seen or heard Fred.

I believe that sometimes two planes of existence cross. I believe that spirits are always there, we just don't always see them. I think that some people are more in tune with the "other world". Children, sick people, animals.



The only real experience I've had, revolved around an apartment I had about 6 years ago. I was in the process of leaving my ex husband and I went apartment hunting. I was having no luck finding something in my price range, pet friendly, the right size, etc. I was getting really frustrated. Finally, I went to this apartment complex that is sorta on the "fringe" of the ghetto. Everyone had told me to stay away from that place because it was in a bad area. Whatever. I looked at an apartment and fell in love with it. It was perfect, two bedrooms, two full baths, a giant kitchen, a nice balcony, my cats were ok. Most importantly, the price was right. Plus, several of the girls I worked with at the time also lived there. I don't know how it is in other states or countries, but here, if someone dies in an apartment, they are legally required to let future tenants know. Well, come to find out that the apartment I was looking at, the previous residents had died in a murder-suicide. The husband shot his wife, and then killed himself (in front of their children....horrible) in what was to become my bedroom. Although the crime itself bothered me, living there didn't. In fact, because of this they had been having a hard time renting the place so when I came along, they lowered my rent and cut my deposit in half. SOLD. I was a little bit, just a tiny bit apprehensive, so I had a friend of mine who was Wiccan, do a house blessing for me before I moved in. Everyone knew I was the one who lived in the "murder-suicide" apartment and used to ask me if anything wierd happened. I would always say no because nothing really strange did ever happen. Except for the toilets, my rosemary and my cats. My boyfriend (now husband) moved in with me not long after I moved in. As a lot of guys do, he was horrible about putting down the toilet seat when he was done. Every time he would leave the seat up, it never failed that after about a minute or so, we would hear the seat and lid SLAM shut. Didn't matter which bathroom he used. "She" didn't like it when he left the seat up. Once she slammed it down so hard it knocked a candle off of the back of the toilet. So I would always tell Steve to "apologize to her" and he would lol Another wierd thing about that apartment. I love to cook with rosemary. It's my favorite spice. I grow fresh but always have dried in the spice cabinet as well. It's not cheap either, to buy the dried stuff, so a bottle usually lasts me for at least 6 months. In the 2 years I lived in that apartment, I "lost" at least 6 bottles of the stuff. I eventually stopped buying it. In fact, that's when I started growing it. I would come home from the store with a brand new jar, use it once and then next time I'd go to look for it and it would be GONE. I mean, nowhere to be found. I guess she liked rosemary too lol Then there were my cats. One in particular. Her name was LilBitt. She was a calico, siamese mix and the most skittish animal on the planet. I was the only one who could pet her...period. The whole time we lived there, we had this one wall in between my kitchen and living room that had nothing on it. No pictures, no tables nearby, just a blank spot in the room, a blank wall. LilBitt would sit and stare up at that wall and meow, that kind of meow cats make when they see a bug up high or a bird they can't get to. She would do it constantly. I would go over and look high up, thinking maybe she was seeing a small bug or spider but there was never anything. The wall was the other side to the wall of my bedroom, where the murder suicide had happened. So my guess is that LilBitt was seeing something or someone that I just couldn't see. I could explain away the toilet thing, and the rosemary thing, but the cat meowing at the wall was really the only thing that wierded me out.

Glad I didn't see this thread last night! It's the middle of the day and your stories are giving me goose bumps!

Before starting Uni, I had moved into the Halls of residence a couple works early to settle myself into the area. There were only two of us living in our particular flat at the time, myself and my friend Sharon who also happened to be one of the wardens. One afternoon we went out so that Sharon could show me around. We cleaned up our dishes and left them to drain. About three hours later we came back to discover one of the glasses, still sat in the middle of the draining board had exploded. Other than the base of the glass, there was no glass on the draining board. The rest of the glass was on the floor. What was really bizarre is the glass hadn't shattered, it had broken into large pieces, and all the edges were smooth almost like they'd been exposed to extreme heat. With no one else around, we were spooked!
So a little later into the the term, everything seemingly normal, theres a knock on the door. Another resident was looking for Sharon. She couldn't get into her room. The doors could only be locked from the outside or from the inside if there was someone in the room. She hadn't locked her door because her keys were still inside. Just had to presume that something had fallen and caught the lock. Sharon went and unlocked the door, nothing was out of place. Nothing had fallen, the girls keys were exactly where she had left them. I think I should also point out that there was no way someone could have snuck out of the window. The flats were situated above a multistorey car park. Even the first level of flats were about 3 storeys up!

Just one weird occurrence for me really. On the tattoo thread i said i had seagulls against a sunset for my grandad as he was a sailor in the navy and believed his soul would go into a seagull when he died. Well, we went out in this teeny boat me and my dad to scatter his ashes in the sea.
My dad scattered the ashes and then as we turned around to go back to shore, we looked back at the spot we'd been, and there was a seagull hovering over the place we'd scattered the ashes.
I swear that's what happnened!
I truly believe that his soul DID go into a seagull just like he'd always believed.

I was very close to my great-grandmother even though I was only 7 when she died. I have vivid memories of her standing at the end of my bed in the days straight after her funeral (which I wasn't allowed to go to). I can't remember if she said anything, but I know she was there.
I don't think we can ever have all the answers and the idea that our passed loved ones are there for us is not the worst prospect in the world...

Yeah, those are pretty creepy! I wonder if some people are more apt to have stuff like that happen to them, you know? I've never had anything like that ever happen to me but you've had plenty of those experiences. And trust me, I'm glad about that!



I'm such a dork. In college my husband (boyfriend at the time) used to laugh at me because I used to go shut off the light and I'd jump clear across the room into bed because I didn't want to walk next to the bed. Really dumb, I know. Especially for someone who doesn't believe in that stuff. My hubby works midnights and when I go up to bed, I'll put the sleep timer on the tv downstairs before I go up so I don't feel like the last one downstairs. So goofy, right? Just a little idiosyncrisy of mine ;) We're all weird in our own ways, I guess. LOL

Traci ~ For ones I will share well let's see....

When I was pregnant with my oldest her father and I were not living together. I was living with a roommate and going to school. I always got a creepy vibe from the house we lived in and so did she. So we never slept in our rooms we always, every night, pulled out the hide-a-bed and slept in the living room.
Now the one night she had fallen asleep early and I was laying there reading. I heard the resident ghost start walking through the house. I told him to go away I didn't want company. Well good god he did not like that at all! We had two different stereo's turn themselves on! So being the scaredy cat I am I woke up my roommate before I would even get off the bed to turn them off. The next morning I woke up and go meandering my way to the bathroom and pass by the one stereo I had turned off the night before. I stopped dead in my tracks, the stupid thing wasn't even plugged in but it was playing the night before. How's that for creepy?

Another one... Ok this one is a little scary.
One night I was sitting here as I am now typing away to one of my friends on messenger. My hubby was working night shift so he wasn't home. My brother (who lives in our basement) was out for the night and all our kids were in bed. We still had our dog at this time too. She came bumbling over to sit with me as she always does and laid down at my feet. She laid there for quite some time and then out of nowhere she got up and started to growl. If you knew my puppy you would know this was very out of the ordinary, I had never heard her growl before that night! I tried petting her and soothing her but she would have none of it. Then she barked and stepped between me and our loveseat. Then one of our cats came from the other side and started hissing, spitting and had her back up. At first I thought it was because of each other, since they didn't get along at the best of times. But when I stepped between them to get them to calm down they both moved beside each other, faced the love seat and were just going nuts. No matter what I tried they would not budge and would not let me in front of them or near our love seat. It went on for about an hour before I could get them calm enough to move away and come sit with me. I have no idea what was going on or what they were seeing but they were not happy about it and did not want me near it. Creepy eh?

Now not all mine are that weird. Since my gramma has passed I have talked to her a few times but very rarely. She comes when she senses I need her and I don't even always know when I do need her. There was even the night one of my Uncle's passed. I was laying in bed reading, getting ready to sleep. I had heard the news earlier in the day so I knew he was gone. Well sort of.... I felt someone staring at me and there he was! I got to say good bye to him, he smiled at me and was gone. =) I like those encounters far more than I do the creepy ones! Even my kids have seen people/spirits, some of them too I have no idea who they are talking about but others I can figure out by what they say to the kids.

Yes I do know how crazy I sound to non-believers. =)

Jennifer ~ I have no doubts it was your granddad ushering your daughter to the next life and watching over her for you until you can reunite. =) Interesting thing about drugs is that because your in a, kind of like a hyper sensitive state, you are more open and therefore more apt to see things that most normally wouldn't. Granted some things are just hallucinations but some things are not. =)

I have a ton of scary stories of the interesting things that have happened to me. I will share a non scary one, though, because it really means a lot to me.

My grandfather and I were very close. He was my favorite person in the whole world. He used to tug on my hair when it wore a ponytail.

The night that he died at aroud 11:30 or so, I was in the bathroom getting ready for bed and I felt a tug on my hairtie. It literally almost fell out of my hair. The next morning my aunt called me and told me that he had passed away the night before sometime between 10 and 1 in the morning. I know that it was him.

I'm not gonna share the scary ones because I'm home by myself tonight (well, not alone, me and my two boys. No hubby, though) and don't want to freak myself out! haha

I don't believe in that stuff, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it isn't real since I've never experienced anything like that. And I sure do like listening to "ghost" stories! :)

The night my father died ( we didn't live with him any longer, and hadn't for about 9 years) My mom came into my room at about 12:45 A.M. to wake me up and tell me. I was already awake. She said " I have bad news" and I said, "I know. Dad died. He was just here and said goodbye"

I had been sitting up in bed talking to him before she came in. I was 17. No one can tell me that he wasn't there.



When my daughter died back in '95...I saw my grandfather standing at the end of my hospital bed holding my daughter. Now that one, MIGHT have been all the valium.....but I like to believe that it wasn't.

I think that anything is possible, if you just open your mmind to it.
