Do you think he's helpful or do you think his show is just another reality TV show?

Thank you Nichole :)

He's a silly little guy these days, always making faces, sticking his tongue out, clapping his hands and blowing raspberries at me before he turns and boots it off in the other direction! lol

I think Steve does hit some interesting topics and can be helpful. He does talk a lot about drugs and children. I have only watched the show a few times but he does go over real life situations.

He put the kid in jail. He didn't ARREST him, he put him in jail. The same kinda thing that Maury does when he sends teenage girls off to boot camp or to jail...... he got the 'dad's permission to put his son in jail to 'teach him a lesson' and he went to the Wayne County Jail.

The episode is called "Steve Lock Up My Son" if you wanna go you tube it lol

I'm not sayin that any of these shows are 'real' but the issues that Steve talks about are a lot more 'real' than the 'issues' that Jerry talks about. And Steve's show is a lot more serious than Maury type shows.

I don't know where his show is based...but when I read that "Steve put him in jail"....not here he didn't. He WAS a police officer, he cant just put someone in jail, he has not authority. Now, he can call the police and they can investigate and they can go from there, but Steve has no authority to put someone in jail.

From what I have read, I will say it looks fake to me, will it help someone. I don't know, I suppose even Jerry Springer helps some people, they may decide to get a paternity test or whatever, but no it doesn't look like he does a lot of 'helping', just making money on a TV show.

There's no doubt there's fake stories, but the issues they touch on aren't Jerry Springer style circus crap. Do you think his show can be helpful?

I think its all fake. I went to high school with a guy who's girl friend was paid to go on Jerry Springer and play a dominatrix role and Steve Wilkos was a branch off of Jerry. So I am pretty sure that show is all fake too.

Yea he was a cop in Chicago, and then he was a bouncer on the Jerry Springer Show and now he has his own show that offers help to people who will ask for it. He confronts druggie parents, offers rehab and counseling, he helps children find their parents, lie detectors, drug tests, paternity tests - but the main thing is he generally offers help to people who will ask for it.

There's been a couple shows where I shake my head and wonder where the cops & lawyers are - there was a set of parents who's child died of a drug overdose under the care of a family friend and they wanted answers - the family friend had been under investigation but no charges were filed - it was like the case was at a stalemate so they went on the Wilkos show to 'get answers.'

There was another show where a mother had her 2 kids living in a house where drug dealers and drug users were constantly there and the oldest - a 14/15 year old girl called Steve and asked him to come and get her mom into rehab.

There was another show where there was a teenage boy who basically said "I can do whatever I want, I'm 13, they can't arrest me." So Steve put him in jail.

Another show was about a guy who grew up being told women are mans property and his girlfriends aunt called the show to try and get Steve to get the man help so he would stop treating her niece like a slave and get the girl help so she could realize she was better than that.

The list goes on.

It's just another fake "reality" show. I know someone that 'books' his & Springer's 'guests'
