Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share this link with you all. It is an application that you download and everytime you do online shopping at certain online retailers it donates a part of your payment to autism reseach/family support. It DOES NOT increase the purchase of your cost...the donation is taken out of what you would already be paying. Target, Macy's, Best Buy, Amazon, Toys R Us, and eBay are just a few of the many participating stores. I have a young daughter who is on the autism spectrum so I am new to the ASD community, but I want to start helping out in whatever ways I can.

He's 5 - 6 in January.
I'll be able to help you navigate the services in Jersey in the next month or so.....my neighbor across the street (from where I'll be) also has a son with Autism - he's 17 - she's been advocating for him for YEARS....she's a wealth of information - I just need to get up there and sit and talk with her.

My son has Autism as well and I'm about to find out more than I probably ever wanted to know about NJ services when we transfer him to school there in the next month or 2. I'll pass on any info I find out, Laura.

Thanks Tracey. My daughter is almost 2 so they won't diagnose her until she is closer to her third birthday and starts school, but she receives early intervention OT 3x/wk. They are leaning towards PDD-NOS right now. I know that once we start the process for getting into preschool I will probably have a million questions about her IEP. What state do you live in? I'm in NJ. Do the benefits regarding ASD differ from state to state?
