i had to step away because wild guy stuck his sister's hair bead up his nose...i carefully took them off and placed them in a container, but one must have gotten away because he came upstairs with a bead up his nose...Okay Tah breathe, you can get that out...well you could have before he took a big sniff and made it disappear....so off to the ER.....they got it out pretty quickly, and he said.."mommy i can blow now..."....and i can breath now Rylan..thanks...The PA threw the bead in the trash and he had the nerve to get upset and say.."hey thats my sister's bead"....lol..that's why i don't keep that stuff in the house, i sent her to get her hair braided and the hairdresser put beads on without asking, but she loved them so i let her keep them.....ahhh well....at least he's okay...he saved the husband from having to sleep in a chair at work because he left and met us, it was his duty day....This boy gets into so much...he keeps me on my toes and the ER's in business.......his daycare teachers nicknamed him daredevil.....my husband, after we knew he was gonna be okay, thought it was funny because he stuck a bebe in his ear at 5...so i blame him...

love him to pieces though...

thank you ladies..i don't know, i have a older boy but he didn't do any of these things. This one makes me nervous all the time. He has broken both arms already..one required a cast and the other was a really fine suddle break that didn't require anything...with the second break, he went to school a couple days later and someone ran a truck over it, so he had to be picked up...he fell off a chair at the dojo..you would think we don't watch him, i watch him like a hawk, the minute i go to put something in the oven or to take a shower, thats it...i am going to put him on my hip...he is my wild boy..

A first grade teacher friend of mine told me a funny story...She was using beans for one of her lessons. Before she passed them out she warned the kids not to put them in their mouths or noses. So of course she had a little boy stick one in his ear. She didn't say not to put the bean in there!

Tah, I'm glad he's okay!

It does always seem like it's boys who have the guts to do these things. I heard of a little boy who put a crayon up his nose. Not really sure how he succeeded with that because crayons are long, but it must have worked. I have two boys and so far so good. I hope I don't have to deal with that. Glad he is okay though!

Wow! I'm glad he's ok. I'm so glad my son has never stuck anything up his nose... yet. I had JUST gotten rid of all the beads in this house when my dad got the girls 10,000 beads for their bday last year! Grr.... Still getting rid of those ones and it's been almost a year.

Erin, I actually wanted to BE the hungry hippo when I was a kid so while playing the game I put my mouth down by the board and managed to swallow the marble. I still to this day don't know how I did it. My sister also used to put pussy willows (the white ones) up her nose because they were soft. One got stuck and she didn't tell anyone for a day or two and when it started to rot/smell she told my mother finally. Here's a link in case anyone wonders what they actually are.

Did you know that the number one reason for a child's visit to the hospital is "foreign objects in the nose"?

Considering how all of our stuff is made in China, that could be just about ANYTHING.

LMAO it is a bit funny.. My brother used to put shit up his nose when he was little. He put a styrofoam ball (from a beanbag) up, but it came out (of his mouth) when he sneezed lol. Then he put one of the balls from Hungry Hungry Hippos (that 80s board game) up his nose. That one required a trip to the hospital.

Notice it's always boys who do this? What's that about? lol

happened to my 2 youngest children!! vincent stuck a bead up his nose-it was from my nieces bracelet. we got it out, and took the necklace and put it away. somehow, a bead was left on the floor and he ended up putting it in his nose AGAIN. had to go tot he doctor with their nice little hook thing to get it out.
lucas put styrofoam up his nose. no matter what i did i couldn't get it out. trip to the doctor again. i think they must think my kids have a fettish for sticking stuff up their noses.lol!
