Christina----I like that right, wrong or in the middle, she sticks up for what she believes in and she goes hard and doesn't back down....

Sharon----i like that she says whatever the sam hill she wants to say ad doesn't care and to be honest alot of the times she says what i am thinking but i am trying to be nice...i may just decide that nice is overrated....

my tea water is boiling for this virus that won't say die..so i'll do more later....

OMG you guys are cracking me up! So me, Jodi A and Esther are the only ones who graduated in the 80's? And Gina? Sigh.

Do you guys remember "the cut"? I had it all through high school. Feathered back on the sides and on top it was curled into a poof? I'd curl it in rows, spray the curling iron until it stopped sizzling and then move on to the next row. When I was done I'd take a pick and poof it out ROFL! I actually DO have a picture and I may just make it my profile pic lol I'll have to look for it.

I grew up in Miami and they were called "ghetto blasters" and "boom boxes". And pretty much every boyfriend I had up until around early to mid 90's had a mullet. Sadly, they were actually COOL back then.

Remember parachute pants? And pinstriped, skin tight, skinny leg jeans? My jeans were so tight I'd have to lay on my bed and use pliars to zip them up. I spent most of the day at school trying to catch my breath lol.

Jocelyn, a lot of people don't, which I've found to be quite funny because some of these people can be very PC about everything else.

yeah ms Tah rub it in. you're young, you're young.
re: ghetto blaster yeah guess that could be pretty offensive term we don't really have "ghettos" here in canada. we do have low income housing and gov't funded housing but I can't ever remember them being refered to as ghettos. I think ghetto blaster is a term we adopted form states. the only ghetto I can think of at least in toronto is the gay ghetto and that's a self=proclaimed ghetto (probably not initially but definitley over time has been claimed). regardless...guess ghetto blaster is a creepy term. here's another gross one for you..."I got gypped" is actually referring to gypsies!). go figure.

I just posted this in a happy meal conversation, but I thought I'd repost it here since this is where it actually belongs....

In the short time I've been part of DM's... Let me just say thank you. It's been so nice to be part of conversations with people that I don't want to violently shake while screaming about their lack of common sense. Or basic intelligence. Even just simple things like knowing the difference in the meaning of, "They're going there with their friends." It really brings me some sanity in a world filled with absolute idiots.

You know the funny thing....Big curly hair was big then for women too. I used to PAY for a perm. My hair was dead straight.

All of a sudden my hair went curly about 3 years ago. Go figure. I now have hair I would have KILLED for in the 80's but now, it drives me nuts.

I don't have any digital photos of it, because it was the days before digital cameras and I conveniently *lost* all the hard copies and negatives ;) So I can't prove it. But believe me, it was sad.

You know what I joined this group thinking I better be careful it could be full of crazy woman who just like to be argumentative. All I've found is woman are intelligent and respectful in putting their point of view across. I always like people a whole lot more if i can respect them before i like them.
