I'd take a copy of the video evidence to a drug detective at the police dept. Deal with one person at the police department so you don't get the run around. Let them know you are prepared to go to the media with this evidence and the lack of police cooperation, but not in a threatening manner. Something like, "I want to give the fine officers a chance to deal with this situation before the media gets a hold of it."

I would not suggest giving the media video evidence from your property perspective. Then it will be all too clear to the drug dealers who's ratting them out and putting this pressure on. And they don't care if you are a mom and they don't care about your child's life, they just care about getting caught.

I'd go right to the police with my evidence! No doubt about it. I don't see how someone could ignore something so illegal, and hurtful as drug dealing in their neighborhood.

BTDT. I don't care what they were selling.

Our neighbors (15 acres away) were selling drugs. All sorts of asshole congregated at their house, along the streets etc. After getting loaded up or while waiting for the shitheads to come home, they'd race up and down our roads as fast they could go. Frequently losing control and destroying property. We paid to have our road paved - along with our neighbors - we're still paying for it - and right after it was done, the little fuckers were stomping on the gas on the soft tar, slamming on the brakes and spinning donuts - tearing the FUCK out of our road. We're in the hole for 10s of thousands and they're fucking it up.

We took direct action then. But even before that we had been calling the police about their bullshit dealings. Descriptions of vehicles, license plate numbers, times and the numbers of people - ALL REPORTED.

She lost her kids, lost her vehicles, etc. Two years later she's back with her kids, minus the escalade. No more crazy shit.

Since they cam =e to the community there have been numerous break -ins and robberies.I have cameras on the sides of my house so I can sit back and watch what they are doing if they come too close to my place.The noise and fights have kept me and my kid up all hrs of the night.The cussing is awful and the traffic is getting to the point where if I had a stick of dynamite I would put it in the tailpipes and enjoy the show.=) Jk.I have called the police and the manager of the community so they know what is going on.I have pics and video of deals.I want them gone!

I'd for sure call the cops and give hem a heads up aout the suspicious behavior... i don't know if i'd be balls enough to take pics, but i'd start writing down info. Like what kind/colour of cars are coming and going and the times... and even a lisence plate if i could get it without being noticed. I wouldn't want that sh*t going on right across from my house with my kids! who knows what else they're into... gangs,, weapons,.... i'd for sure let the cops know.

I'm with Emma. Druggies should never be messed with. If moving was an option i'd do that. Otherwise i'd think about things like..... Are they renting? Are you renting? How long do you think they will stay if they are. If they own is it possible to move at the end of your lease.
It's about pro's and con's. Is it harming you or your family having them there?

Um...we call the police and we take pics. (flash off of course) We would document who comes and goes, license plates, and how often each is there, when, etc. Turn it all in to the police and go from there.

I wouldn't just stand by and turn a blind eye to it. But I also wouldn't take pics of them either. That could be very dangerous for you and your family. I would call the police constantly till they finally paid attention to me. You're in a very bad situation. I hope something gets done about it soon for your family's sake.

I had a crack house two doors down from me a couple of summers ago. I never called the cops but didn't need to as they were there 4-5 times a day anyway. It finally took the residents using the Hells Angels name without permission before they were ousted.

I found out the owner of the house was intentionally filling it with rowdy people to drive property value down so he could scoop up a few of the neighbouring houses to be redeveloped.

Emma I have a child and I would like to think that because of that I would snitch.I mean if I knew because I did nothing in a situation like that and a kid got involved with the dealers and I did nothing I would never forgive myself.
But I also think that it is also someones circumstances that play into it also.

Honestly, if it were me, I'd just move. The point was brought up about corrupt cops... They do exist. Perhaps if you can get ahold of someone on the DEA team that might help. But don't let them see you take pictures!

Be blind. I'm not getting involved in drug wars! Fuck that, I have kids. I don't need to be bashed to a pulp, cops are corrupt when it comes to drugs. They arrest people who take them but not the dealers. I live in a town full of drug lords everyone takes them and bad things happen to people who snitch. Anyone who gets reported for dealing is back in their house in no time. I'll just pretend I don't know and keep away.

I agree with Krista...just weed let them be...meth I would be calling in a heartbeat...same for like hardcore things, coke, heroin...but just weed? Nah. I would not take pictures. if they are selling hard shit, whose to say they don't have hardcore shit such as guns etc. Yup....back on the gun topic LOL.

O k good points but lets say you have called the local Narcotics team in your county and you felt like you were getting the run around when you gave them the info.what then?Do you go up the chain to say,the D.E.A?How far would you be willing to go to get the problem taken care of? keeping it perfectly legal.

I would turn them in, if I was sure. I'd probably call Crimestoppers, where you can be completely anonymous. Drug houses are dangerous places, I don't want that in my neighborhood, almost everyone in here has kids. I couldn't live with myself if I did nothing and one of the neighbors' kids - or worse, one of my own - ended up being a casulty of some dispute or drive-by or something.

Gad, it depends, I guess. Are they just selling a little bit of weed here and there to their friends? If so, I'd probably just ignore it. But if it's more serious than that, I don't think I'd risk them seeing me take pictures, no. But I think I would place a call in to the police.

If there was irrefutable proof that they were drug dealers - damn skippy the cops would be called every time a car pulled up.

Rather than taking pics- go to an electronics store and buy a security camera and a video recorder. much easier to prove 'duration of visit' and actual traffic with video.
