Ok so my daughter was born on the 15th of December 02" but four years later I was blessed with a beautiful baby boy born on the guess what 1st of December. LOL! I couldn't believe it. He was a week late and I just knew that he would be born on the last day of November. Ha! So now I scramble around during the summer months to get everything together so that I can have a piece of mind n a chance to really enjoy the holiday. So how do u do do it?

Quoting Candy:

i always make sure to make a BIG deal out of her birthday on the 23 so she doesn't get jipped, i make a rule on her party invites that states NO XMAS paper! We are fortunate to have local connections where we can do her party like a bowling party, one year we went to ChuckECheese's, when we stay home we have a pinata and do a theme. She definitely remembers her birthdays separate from Christmas. This year we are looking into a nearby indoor pool. I think it is hard because of affordability, but i save for it all year so i can do this, it is important to me, with my birthday being so close as well i remember growing up my bro and sis had parties and bdays, i usually got jipped b/c i got combined presents from family and hardly got a party. We are fortunate too that there is family and cousins to attend that make it a big deal, often friends are unable to b/c of family parties falling at that time.

Thats a very good idea!  Make it a big deal!   James's bday is on the 18th and I always feel like he is being left out, because everyone is buying for Christams.  Thanks I needed this idea.  I did a bowling party for my 12 year old and now James wants one (becuase  he's big brother had one) but I like the pinata/ theme party.   I know of poeple renting a room at a hotel for the indoor pool to have a party but the funds arent there for something like that!    Thanks again

I guess i"m better off than you I only have one in december, but last day so he feels left out and says he wants to do something special for his B-day. when I do christmas shopping I get extra for him to make sure I have for his B- day presents, or just give him one for christmas and the rest for b-day. I also try to do the day after thanksgivng sale, or sales after christmas. I know very last minute but sometimes very cheap as well.
