My three yr old just simply will not eat veggies. It doesn't matter what we try what it is he refuses. Our pediatrician suggested putting that and only that on his plate and then once he ate the veggies give him the rest. ha that was a joke Aidan would rather not eat, sit at the table till bedtime go to bed, stand in a corner for tme out or get spankings then eat veggies. I am at my wits end. I'd say oh it's a phase but it is seeming to last FOREVER. We've even tried giving him his brothers (4 mnths old) baby food veggies. It doesn't matter sometimes it seems like he hardly will eat at all.

Children do go threw stages like that as long as his weight is good I wouldn't worry about it. There is the new juicey fruit vegetable/fruit juice that tastes just like regular fruit juice but has vegetables in it! He'll drink it n won't know the difference. You could also try adding stuff to veggies. My son loves cheese on his.

Don't feel bad, my daughter seems to be in this phase where she doesn't want to eat anything. Literally. She mostly drinks milk and snacks. All I do is try to make sure she is snacking on healthy things like apples, bananas, celery, cantalope and watermelon. At least I know she's getting her fruits. :)

I know it doesn't solve the problem but if all else fails they are easily blended up and hidden in other things. Spag bol, shepherd pies, pasta sauces etc. I know they don't taste them because this is what I have to do with my husband!!!!! Also things like mash potato can have swede, grated carrot or sweet potato (yams?) added to them.

Just in case, have you tried letting him help with the preparation of the vegetables so maybe if he's proud he washed the carrots, he might try them. And then do "fun" presentaion, like mini pizzas (with a tomato puree of course) with vegetable faces- capsicum hair, radish eyes and zucchini mouths?

Good luck!
