My daughter turned two on the 5th this month and i'm really starting to worry about her having her bottle to go to bed with.
Ive tried putting half milk/half water (pediatricians recommendation) or only half a bottle of milk or even just water but shes too smart and *throws* the bottle at me and screams bloody murder!( I rent out a basement where the landlords bedroom is directly above my daughters so middle of the night is really frustrating)
I dont give her a bottle during the day (unless for a nap) she drinks juice and water out of sippy cups and regular cups just fine but she absolutley refuses to give up that bottle!I've tried substituting the bottle for a sippy cup of milk even...NOPE!
Also,She still wakes up at least once a night too and I have to fill the bottle up for her before she will go back to sleep.
And yes, she polishes the thing off in record time every night!

Has anyone else had this problem?Obviously I think its mostly just soothing to her (she was bottle fed from 1 week) but I really dont know how to replace that.I tried taking the bottle away at 6 months and replacing it with a pacifier...that was the last day she EVER accepted a pacifier.

(B.T.W her teeth are fine and get brushed every day thats not my MAIN concern its the bottle thing!)

Any and all input is greatly appreciated!

my daughter is two and she has a bottle to go to sleep. I fill it up half way and she goes to bed and drinks it in bed, gives it to me (as i wait for her to dink it) and then rolls over and falls asleep.
As long as she doesn't sleep with a bottle in her mouth she is fine. but try and stop the night feeds. My daughter did the same thing and i just put in water and she figured out it was not worth it and she started sleeping through.

my daughter was 2 today and still sucks her soother and has a bottle, morning and night but it doesn't look like she's going to give them up any time soon, she drinks from a cup during the day no bother. i tried to get her off the bottles but she point blankly refused, she cried till i gave her a bottle!! why don't you give her a few more months then try?? it might be easier
