Hey all! Sorry I haven't been around much! As most of you know I am expecting number 2! Well, starting today I am officially on bed rest until this little monster is born. I was not due until Sept. 4th, but they moved the date up to August 26th, since I was planning on having a c-section. Well today, at my 36 week appointment, we decided he may come on August 19th instead. I have been experiencing severe pain in my pelvis that prohibits me from taking care of my very active 19 month old (my husband is such a great dad and spouse!! I am truly lucky!). So on August 19th I will be having an amniocentesis to determine if his lungs are developed enough to be born at 38 weeks.
Well, that's enough about me... How are your little ones doing now? Still picking up every word that he/she hears? Getting more active? More curious? I know mine is! She is so smart. She amazes me everyday. Right now, my favorite thing is when she grabs my face, gives me a kiss and says "I love lou" without being prompted by anyone. I feel like I am doing a great job raising her, and that she loves me as much as I love her!
Anyways! I hope all is well, and if I'm not around so much I apologize, but I will return soon!! :)

Good Luck with ur new lil one and no worries, I'm sure all will be fine. My son was born 6 wks early and was perfectly healthy. He is now 20 months old and is very active. It amazes me how much he has grown and all his little acomplishments make me feel the proud mom I am. Again, Good Luck with your new addition and May God Bless you and your family.

Take Care!

Hey Shannon! My sister was also due for a c-section on the 26th also and may have to move up the date due to something going on with her liver (nothing serious). Good to hear that your husband is a good support! Does your daughter seem to be interested in a baby coming? I'm due in december. My son loves to rub my belly and kiss the baby, even though I know he probably doesn't really understand. Today he actually pointed to my bump and said "Justin's brother".

Good luck with everything!!

Good luck! Cristian was born 6 weeks early, and is now a healthy almost 20 month old, with no delays. It was amazing how he caught up during the first year.

Hi Shannon,

I sure hope that everything goes well for you and your little on the way. Also that everything continues to do well with your husband and your other sweet angel. I know with my two girls are becoming very active. I have one that is like a monkey with all the climbing she does and one that just sits back and watches everyone for right now. I am getting a little worried because neither one is really trying to talk, but their doctor stated that they might be a little late since they were early secondary to being twins. I am kind of in a way for them to start talking, but also scared because they might not keep quiet when I need them to. I also feel that I am doing a great job with them and they know how much I love them and they show me how much they love me in their own little ways.

I am expecting #2 also. I am due in December again. I hope all goes well with your amnio and the little one is ready to meet his family. How is your daughter handling becoming a big sister. I don't think my son has a clue, I'm only 20 wks. I was suposed to have an US tomorrow to determine the sex but I am being sent to a specialist on Tuesday and it will be done then. I have been looking forward to this all week. I guess a few more days won't matter. Again Good Luck!!!

Hey best to you and your family. I was on slight bedrest when my first was wanting to come a month early. The good thing is you get to play queen and have things done for you, lol. And yes it does help to have that loving spouse that will do anything for you and your LO. Keep you in my thoughts.

Wow! Your whole situation would be hard enough if it were your first child, you poor woman! Although, you truly find out how great a husband you have when something like this happens. As for your 19 month old, it sounds like she is wonderful! My son is also 19 months old and he steals my heart every day. I do have a question for you....did you plan your second pregnancy or was it chance? The reason I ask is because our first was unplanned (even though he is the greatest thing that God could ever bless us with) and right now I am determined to wait until he is FIVE to have another one!! HA! The main reason being we had a nightmare of a birth with him and I'm too scared to do it again! But, I was just curious what your thoughts were on how close in age your's would be or if you wanted them farther apart. (This is a subject my best friend and I talk about all the time! We were pregnant together and our's are 13 days apart!) Anyway! Just curious.... : )

I wish you the best with everything! My two are 20 months apart and I was on bed rest at the end too. Very tough on me and my son who was use to being mommys one and only! My 2nd was born at 37 weeks by c section and everything was perfect. They are now 3&1/2 and 20 months and the best of friends (most of the time). It was tough at first but so worth it now! Good luck with everything!

Sorry to hear that number 2 is giving you so many problems. Maybe this is a preview of how his/her life is going to be :) I wish you the best of luck with the rest if your pregnancy and hope that new baby is born happy and healthy. I'm glad that your little girl is doing well and that your husband is able to spend some quality time with her while you rest. Savannah has started to become bossy. She loves to say, "Sit mommy!" However she has the cute side of her too when she says, "Silly daddy."

Hi Shannon, I just read your post. I'm feeling for you having to be on bed rest. I know I always wished for it at times but after having to go through a bit of it~ not so much fun. Are U on total or just partial BR? Thankfully, I was on partial and only for 2 weeks... SHEWW. My 19mo is a cracker jack. She is picking up everything her big brother says/does... Just tonight she shouts out SHHEEEW Wee Baby!! for what?! not sure.. she's a hoot. It's amazing how much different my two are from each other. NEhow, my thoughts are with you and your little one.. and an easy recovery from UR Csection.

Hey Shannon,
All the best with number 2, that's when you really know you are alive! haha. I am also expecting (my 3rd though) due February 2010 so a fair way to go yet. I hope all goes well, must be a struggle on bed rest with a 19 month old..... Like you I am also blessed with a fantastic husband that lets me take time out whenever I need, it helps alot. Good luck, and I am sure you and your family will adore number 2 just as much as your first-xx-

Good Luck with your new LO, I'm sure everything will be fine as Hope was born 8 weeks early December 2007 and is like any 'normal' 19 month old. Its such a lovely age, she goes round babbling to herself and laughing at everything.

Take Care xx
